Natalie's POV

"Better stop, now," familiar voice said and the feeling of relief filled my body alongside with worry. Suddenly, I fell down to the ground with a sounds of fighting behind me. When the pain from the impact finally went away I turned my head to see a man in black running away and Chan coming closer to me.

I got a better look on a running guy and got nervous. He wasn't similar to the one's that used to attack me. And his shoes...there were no bracelets.

"Natalie, you okay?" Chan asked me helping me to get up. "See, that's why you should call me every time when you come back home at night. I don't even want to imagine what would have happened if I wasn't here."

"Yeah, thank you, Chan," I said still a little lost in my thoughts. Who was that? I thought there's only two of them? Can it be...he was this serial killer...no...he has just killed another girl, he wouldn't get another one so fast, would he?

"I'll take you home and make you something to eat first, okay?" he asked and I just slightly nodded my head. Where's Xukun? Did he seriously decide to disappear? I thought it was his job to protect me, so where's he?

To my relief, Chan took a car that day so I sat on the passenger seat after the boy had opened the door for me.

"What do you want to eat?" he asked after a moment of silence as I was looking out of the window with my mind still occupied with the question What happened to Xukun?

"Emm...chicken," I answered making the guy chuckle under his breath.

"Yeah, why did I ask," I laughed quietly with him and we continued the way in a comfortable silence.

Finally we made it to my house and the boy went straight to the kitchen. Probably a lot of girls would kill to be me at that moment, but my mind was too busy thinking about something else.

Maybe the second guy just changed his shoes...but why did he attacked me today...maybe it really was the serial killer and now I'm his prey, after all I'm tall and I have brown hair so I match the description...maybe Xukun was right...

"The food is ready!" the boy yelled gently and put a plate of food in front of me. The delicious smell hit my nose and I automatically forgot about my worries focusing on the good looking chicken.

"I love your cooking skills," I declared starting to eat with a small smile on my face.

"I'm glad you like it...and...ekhm...do you feel okay after the break up?" he asked out of nowhere softly and I stopped in my tracks for a moment.

"I'm quite okay, now. I think that relationship was going nowhere anyway," I confessed and a smirk appeared on the boy's face.

"That's good...but you probably think it's your fault...but there is something that Jisung has been hiding from you," Chan stated gaining my full attention. Jisung? Secrets again?

"What are you talking about?" I thought out loud and Chan adverted his gaze from me as if he was hesitating. Curiousity was taking control over me as I was impatiently waiting for the answer.

"Just say it," I firmly stated while the boy was avoiding my eyes as if they could kill him.

"He's been taking part in races all this time," Chan declared finally meeting my eyes and I laughed after a moment of silence.

"You don't have to lie to make me feel better, you know?" I said chuckling lightly but the man's face was still serious.

"I can show you," he declared and no matter how stupid it all sounded something was telling me that it was true. He wouldn't lie about something like that. Either way, it was hard to believe. Jisung in fact maybe hadn't been the best boyfriend, but he hadn't been that bad.
