Natalie's POV

I stood in front of a investigation room waiting impatiently for Xukun's orders. I bit my nails nervously thinking of the culprit and what he had to say. I tried to convinced myself that everything would be over but deep inside something was telling me that it was just a beginning.

"Natalie, for now, just stay with Irene and watch everything from the other room. First we will talk with him and then I'll decide if it's safe for you to talk with him. Okay?" Xukun said holding my shoulders firmly.

I nodded my head rapidly and the boy gave me a reassuring smile that made me feel warm inside. I looked into his brown eyes as he pats my arms to calm me down. My tensed body was relaxing slowly as I took few deep breaths.

"Come with me, Natalie," Irene voice could be heard and I glanced in the direction of the sound to find the girl leaning against the wall with a small smile on her beautiful face. She took out her hand for me and I gladly accepted trying to restrain it from shaking.

She led me to the small room with a big glass on the wall. On the other side there was another room with one table in the middle with two chairs on the two sides. One was occupied by Xukun and the second one by the culprit.

I backed away unintentionally as I examine the unknown person. His face features where sharp, the eyes were black but his stare was empty. His creepy smile that never left made my heart beat faster from fear. He wasn't moving at all. Only from time to time his head fell on the right or on the left. He just looked...like a psychopath.

"Don't worry he won't see you nor hear you from here. You're safe," smooth, girly voice hit my ears making me come back from my thoughts. The girl gestured me to sit down and I did as she told me.

"Sorry for being late. Did I miss something?" Ziyi said as he opened the door fiercely making me jump out of surprise. I automatically put my hand over my heart closing my eyes. "Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you," the boy stated after seeing my reaction and I reassured him that I was okay.

"No, you didn't miss anything. So just sit down and be quiet," Irene ordered in a purposive tone giving him a murderous glare and Ziyi did as she had told him without saying anything more. Wow...she definitely knows how to be a queen...she's even better than me...

"So...tell me, who are you?" Xukun suddenly asked first question with a poker face while the other man was just sitting impassive.

"Citizen," was his answer.

This voice...

"I just really wanted to see you,"

"He's the guy that was in front of my house after the first time I was in the station." I said to myself gaining a look from Irene and Ziyi. I can hear Irene repeating it and I noticed Xukun holding his ear.

"You want me to lose control?" Xukun asked emotionless while the psychopath laughed out loud. By the sound of it, the cold sweat ran down my body.

I liked watching horror movies, but watching something like that live wasn't entertaining at all.

"Yes, no...maybe...I just want to play a game...tell me Mr. Policeman...you like playing games?" He asks as shivers run down my spine. If I had had to choose with who I would prefer to play games I would have definitely choose Xukun. He seemed way less scary than that creep.

"I like winning," Xukun responded right away with a provocative smirk on his face. I played with my fingers as I was getting more stressed and anxious with every second.

"Okay...what is it? Everyone has it?" that psycho asked with a proud smile.

Secrets

"Secrets," Xukun answered keeping his firm posture. Culprit looked at him blankly and stayed silent for a moment before opening his mouth again.
