Xukun's POV

"Xukun, you shouldn't go alone. We should come with you," Irene said but I shook my head immediately.

"No way...it's my personal issue. I will go there alone and you two will stay in a car, understood?" I said glancing at Irene and Ziyi and they both sighed deeply before nodding their heads in agreement. They knew there was no use in arguing with me.

And I knew that it was better for them to stay in the car. They probably expected me to go there alone. It would be safer that way. I knew we would all die if we went there together. To be honest I didn't believe I would go out of there safe and sound myself and I didn't want to exposed them for the sure death.

No...it was just something I had to deal with alone.

Even thought I didn't know what should I expect and how soon I would die but I was hoping to at least somehow save Natalie. Maybe she would find a way to ran away and somehow she would find our car and with the help of Ziyi and Irene hide somewhere. Where they would never find her. They wouldn't try hard anyway because she didn't have any proof and the regular police would just say she was crazy. So my family wouldn't bother with finding her.

It is me they want...

I ran inside of the building making a lot of noise in the process but I didn't mind that at all. They were expecting me anyway so why would I bother with sneaking.

I found the door and throw myself onto them. The first person I noticed was Natalie. She was tied up to the chair with her hands behind it. She was pale and definitely tired. My heart ached as I watched the fragile figure looking at me with hope in her teary eyes.

"Let her go," I said and glanced at Chan. Then I realised that there was also someone else. A girl.

Jennie...

She looked empty. Her robotic face was watching me without any expression as if she was pulled out of emotion.

What happened?

"Let's just slow down a bit...first...don't you want to see your father?" Chan caught me off guard but I tried to hide it somehow.

Then the door opened and the person I saw caught me off guard completely. I unknowingly loosened my grip on the gun but I quickly composed myself even though terror could be probably clearly seen on my face.

Father...

It could be seen that he was getting older. His grey hair and wrinkles would make him look like an elderly defenceless men if not his quite muscular body and gangster's expression.

He came closer to Natalie as I automatically also walked closer making sure that it was really my father whom I had ran away from over ten years ago.

"Xukun...better put the gun down," he said with his low raspy voice and put his hand higher in the air. In his hand there was syringe with some liquid inside. "Can you see it?" that monster questioned obviously being aware of the answer.

In fact I didn't know what it was but I knew it was something very dangerous.

Nervousness. Anger. Fear.

All of it hit me hard from the inside as my mind went blank for a second and the only thing I could think about were the awful consequences of that poison getting inside of Natalie's circulatory system.

Watching me, my father put a needle dangerously close to Natalie's arm. Tears automatically filled her eyes as she noticed the item. She was scared. Terrified.

And it's all my fault.

"Put the gun down...or I will put it in," he threatened rising one of his eyebrows. It was a habit of his that had been getting on my nerves since I remembered.
