Natalie's POV

"It's Jisung! Oh no! If he sees you we're dead," I said panicked pushing Xukun down. What is he doing in front of my house?

I lived in a small single family house, because I liked to sing and I just didn't want neighbours to call the police every time I would do so. There were two small bedrooms and a big kitchen connected to the living room so it was just perfect for me.

"But why are we hiding? We haven't kissed or anything yet," he responded and I hissed at him.

"Are you stupid? You're his enemy...and you're with his girlfriend. He doesn't even know you live in this city," I scolded him and he scoffed shaking his head.

Wait...what did he mean but 'yet'?

"Okay, listen, here's the plan-"

"Are you sure it's Jisung?" he cut me off rudely checking the guy out. I watched as Xukun was observing him carefully. I rolled my eyes and hit the boy next to me on the shoulder.

"Of course, I'm sure. I gave him the hoodie he's wearing last year as a birthday gift," I said and shook my head at Xukun's stupidity.

"I don't think he still has this hoodie..." he suddenly said to himself but loud enough for me to hear making me offended.

"What are you saying?! Of course he has! It's his favourite!" I yelled at Xukun and he just rolled his eyes. No...it's enough...

"Now I'll sneak out of the car carefully and you'll just go and never come back, okay?" I offered faking a cute voice making the boy look at me with an unreadable expression. It was like he wanted to laugh and throw up at the same time. A hint of worry and happiness filled his eyes and I didn't know what to do.

"Give me your phone," he suddenly ordered in a soft delicate tone. I looked at him questionably while he just took his hand out gesturing me to do what he said.

Afraid of what could happen if I wouldn't obey, I gave him the item. After some time he finally gave me the phone back and I looked at the screen.

"Why did you saved your number?!" I asked in disbelief. Does he really think I'll call him? And he even saved himself as a 'handsome Xukun'?!

"If someone follows you or bothers you in any way, just call me. If this is connected to the case from three years ago, it's my job to protect you," he confessed and I didn't know what to say. On the one hand I wanted to yell that I didn't need his help and that I could take care of myself, but on the other hand in the back of my mind I trusted him somehow.

I bit my bottom lip in confusion. I was lost in thoughts when suddenly I felt a hand on my chin. I looked up at Xukun who was looking at my mouth.

"Don't do that," he said and I needed a moment to realise what he was talking about. I let my lip free gaining a small smile from Xukun. He looked at the guy in front of my house gestured me with his head to go.

I quietly sneaked out of the car and pretended like I was walking all the time. As I was getting closer to Jisung, I was getting more and more anxious. The boy was standing with his back at me and he seemed to be higher than Jisung but I shrugged it off thinking I was just tired.

"Hey Jisung! What are you doing here at this hour...you should be asleep by now," I said as I hugged him from behind.

Something's wrong.

"I just really wanted to see you," he answered but it wasn't Jisung's voice. I automatically let go of the stranger and backed away immediately.

"Who are you?!" I asked as a panic rushed through my veins. I totally had enough of surprises that day. I looked behind me searching for Xukun's car hoping that he was still there, but I didn't find it.
