—-Deanney POV—-
It was now Sunday morning as the sun began to break through the trees that I realized I had fallen asleep in the forgotten house. I sat up, blocking my eyes from the sunlight as it gave my eyes pain.
I stretched my back slightly, hearing the popping it always made in the morning. I shook my head as I recollected everything that had happened in the past 24 hours.
My hands covered my face as in frustration as I sighed. 'Why couldn't it had just been a dream?!' I screamed to myself."Mom's worried about you, you know." I heard Alexis's familiar voice say from behind me.
I closed my eyes and clicked my tongue on the roof of my mouth before I turned around, staring at my younger sister who was in fact still in her pj's, slippers and all.
She looked tired with her hair in a messy bun and her cell phone in her hand. I glared at her for a moment before turning back around.
"How did you even know where I was?" I asked as I felt the wood move as she took a seat next to me.
I ran a hand through my knotty hair while I pulled up my knees to my chest."I've known that you've come here for a month now. Don't get mad, but Coldie and I followed you here one night just to make sure you were alright." She said with a sly smile on her face.
I looked at her with a blank face, her smile dropping. She cleared her throat as she spoke again, "So... what are you going to do about the Jessica situation?"
I took in a breath, letting it out slowly as I focused my attention on the birds that flew around.
"Honestly?" I mocked asked as I looked at her; she rolled her eyes. "I do not know." Was all I said as I turned my head back around.
"Can I say my opinion on it?" She questioned me. I didn't look at her as I nodded. "I don't think it would be a good idea if you did see her anymore.
" I didn't say anything as I rested my chin on my knees. "Mom thinks so too." I rolled my head to look at her.
"Why is it even your guy's business?" I asked her simply. Alexis frowned as she tilted her head slightly.
"You said I could give you my opinion..." She said with furrowed brows. I sighed, turning my head back to the front of the destroyed wall.
"It may not be our business in your eyes, but sadly... we're the only family you have, Deanney.
We just don't want to see you get hurt anymore, whether it is physical or mentally.""I know you care, but I'm not a child anymore. So, can you just leave me alone about the subject?" I asked as wrapped my arms around my legs
"You know," She started with a crude tone. "You bitched me out for not coming to you with my personal problems or whatever was bugging me. Yet you sit there and really have the audacity to say to leave you alone? Do you not see that we're only concerned?" She asked as she turned towards me completely.
I could see her out of the corner of my eye, but I remained in the position I was in. "You almost died you asshole... they said you were lucky that you even came out of the coma. You were expected to die they said... yet you sit there and claim it's none of our business?" I wonder if she expected me to say anything, however... I didn't.
I just waited for her to continue on with what she wanted to say. "I'm sorry that I'm nervous that she just waltzed right back into your life Deanney. That's the only reason I didn't tell you. Can you blame me for it though?" She asked me.
I finally got the nerve to look her in the face and frowned as I noticed a tear sliding down her face. "Whether you think so or not, I would like to grow up living close to you, you're important to me..." I sighed as sat up properly.
