(13) The Idea Of Being Close

I dragged the day of Friday.

 

“Emma why do you look like you’re dying? Lift your head up! Today’s your date!” Ally said picking my chin up so I could see her scowling look.

 

I rubbed my eyes, tired that I thought how the scenario was going to be played later that day. Ally saying embarrassing things about me. Her date laughing along with mine. And I would leave the date with a permanent sunburn to the face.

 

“Exactly” I groaned. “Maybe I can cancel and say I’m sick or something” I said hopeful.

 

“Not unless I have a saying in this!” Ally argued.

 

“You don’t” I said serious.

 

“Exactly, over my body, you’re not going to cancel our double date!” Ally said, obviously not hearing my comment.

“Ally” I said with a smile, after getting out of the school exit doors.

 

“What?” Ally responded with a creepy face that looked right back at my face.

 

“Oh, we both have to work in the cafe today!” I said happy.

 

“No we don’t today” Ally said with an elastic expression.

 

“Why not?” I asked confused.

 

“Because Mr. Lee said his sister was visiting him, and she was going to help him out around the cafe all day long” Ally said with a smirk.

 

I let out a groan. He must have told only Ally since I didn’t know this.

 

“So you’re still stuck till the end” Ally smiled wide.

 

“I hate you Ally” I said between my teeth.

 

“I feel the love” Ally reassured, grabbing my wrist towards her house.

Ally said she knew where we're going.

 

And I asked her, ‘How do you know?’

 

And her response was ‘I have my ways’

 

So, I left with Ally from her place with jeans, leather boots and a fancy blouse. Ally going for jeans and a ‘forever 21’ sweatshirt. I had a half an hour fight with Ally not to put makeup on me, put of course she won. Since I had eyeliner, lip gloss and glitter eye shadow. These of course were Ally’s clothes and makeup. We were pretty much the same size in clothes and footwear.
