"Emma if I could, I would totally burn all the books in the world!!" Ally was dramatically implying.
"That's great Ally" I mumble. Not giving her my full attention.
Right now we had brake time. Where only senior students got the privilege of doing. It was wasn't lunch. We could hang out anywhere we wanted and do anything we wanted.
And right about now me and Ally were hanging in front of the school. There were trees and benches and grass to sit. We were sitting under a cherry blossom tree. The sunlight getting a little on my page.
Right now I was engulfed in the book, "The Fault In Our Stars" by John Green. Totally in love with the character, Augustus Waters. I was up to the part where they were going to visit their favorite author.
I felt a slap at my arm.
"Ow! What was that for, Ally!?" I said annoyed, looking up from my book.
A soccer ball was at my side. Magic? I don't believe in that!
Except it wasn't Ally. I looked at Ally as she gave me a wide side loop grin. Coming at running speed was Ross. He was wearing a soccer jersey that had the U.S.A flag colors and sweat pants. And not to mention sweat beads across his face and neck. I mean don't get me wrong, his green eyes made my stomach turn with butterflies.
'Stop it Emma! You just got hit by a soccer ball! And now you're turning all lovey dovey?'
'Right' I agreed with myself. I must have a concussion or something like that, right now.
"Hi, Emma" Ross said with a smile, taking a breath.
I picked the soccer ball in my hands. "I'm guessing this is your ball?" I say looking at him with a tight smile and an eyebrow up.
"Told you I do soccer" he grinned. Nodding to answer my last question.
"Here" I said throwing the ball to him. "And next time you throw a ball at me, give me a heads up, will you?" I say joking.
He laughed, juggling the ball back and forth in his hands. "Can't make any promises on that" he laughed.
"Gee thanks" I gave a small smile, joking.
"Ross! Come on!" a boy called his name loud and annoyed.
"Well, gotta go" he said scratching his head nervously.
"Okay" I said giving him a small wave, goodbye.
He jogged back to his friends.
Ally gave a fake cough.
My face fell. "What, Ally?" I asked, not amused by her wide smile.
