“Ally, you better be at the phone when I call you later” I hissed in Ally’s ear when we were departing from the movie theater.
She gave me a fearful expression. Making me smile wider.
“Bye, Nathan” I waved. Which he did the same.
I turned around to say bye to Ross.
“You wanna walk home together?” Ross asked looking at the ground.
Aww. Right, we were practically back to back neighbors.
“Um, okay” I nodded. I mean it made sense if we were going to the same area. And I sure as hell don’t want to walk home alone. Hey, Ally had her mom’s car with her.
I gave a last look, reminding her what I said before. Which I received a nod.

Me and Ross had been walking silence to our homes. And really my feet were killing me. Ally made me wear three inch boots.
“Ross” I said in pain.
“Yea?” he asked looking back at me.
“My feet hurt” I complained. I decided to sit on a stair on someone’s house.
“Oh c’mon. One more block” Ross argued.
“No” I whined. “It’s too far” I put my elbows on my thighs.
Ross stood there thinking.
“I’ll carry you” Ross sighed.
“What?” I asked. Maybe I heard wrong.
“You heard. I’ll carry you home” Ross said giving me his hand.
I looked at him puzzled, but didn’t object. I instead took his hand. Which then Ross swept his arms under me to carry me. Like a princess.
I snuggled against Ross’ chest. Making my position any less uncomfortable. I mean what part of: being carried by a cute guy, is not embarrassing or awkward?
I looked up to see Ross staring ahead with a smile. I wondered what he was thinking about now. But, silence was the only thinking stopping me from talking to Ross.
“Hey, Ross” I spoke.
“Em?” he asked looking down at me.
“What’cha thinking about?” I asked out loud.
He laughed. “Wouldn’t you like to know”
I nodded. “Yeah, that’s pretty much why I’m asking” I teased.
“I’m not telling” Ross argued with a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips.
“Oh c’mon! That’s not fair! I want to know!” I said.
“That’s for me to know and you to guess” Ross challenged.
“Alright” I sighed. “I’ll guess… candy?!” I asked.
“Nope” he laughed.
“Food?”
“No”
“Teddy bears?”
“Naw”
“Cheerleaders?”
“What?” Ross said almost dropping me in shock.
I hopped out of his arms as they trying to pull me up again.
“Don’t teenage boys fantasise about cheerleaders or something like that?” I asked, trying to back up my answer.
“I don’t know. I don’t if that’s what you’re asking” Ross said with an amused expression.
I kept walking along with him.
“Okay…” I didn’t know what else to say. I was making this walk really awkward.

I made sure my curtains were closed this time! After I took a shower, I called Ally. I wanted to know a few things.
She picked up the line. “Hello” she said in almost in fear.
“That’s right Ally, it’s Emma. Now spill the beans, Ally! Why were you at the movie theater with Ross?” I got right to the point.
