I enjoyed in the almost getting dark sky, as I sat in front of my home, on the stairs.
There was only an hour until the Valentine’s dance and I was debating with myself.
Should I go? Should I not go?
‘Ring!’
I took out my phone from my back pocket answering without looking at the caller ID.
“Hello?” I asked.
“Emma, are you getting ready for the dance?” Ally asked.
I sighed. “About that…”
“Don’t go with Brandon!” she interrupted me.
What? “Why not?” I asked confused.
“I found out who sent me the flower” Ally said with distaste in her voice.
“Who?” I asked, confused still.
“Brandon! That’s who!” Ally responded in utter disgust as she mentioned him.
“Are you serious!” I asked in disbelief. “He asked us, BOTH?” I asked.
“Apparently, that’s how it seems” she answered sadly.
“That… a$$” I said.
“That’s exactly right, sister” Ally retorted.
“I’m sorry Ally you can’t go to the dance anymore” I said.
“Are you kidding me? I’m gonna tell him you dumped his sorry a$$ and then tell him, I can’t go with losers either” Ally scoffed at me as she said her brilliant plan.
“Way to go, treating boys like dirt” I said sarcastically.
“You know me so well” Ally said with content in her voice. “I’m sorry you aren’t going to the dance either” Ally finally said.
“It don’t matter” I shrugged. “I wasn’t a fan of Valentine’s day long ago” I reassured.
“Well, I guess I’ll talk to you tomorrow?” Ally concluded.
“Definitely” I smiled. “Bye!”
“Bye, bye!” she said hanging up.
