"Emma, stop reading those!"

I looked up from my book, to see an annoyed looking Ally with a coffee pot in one hand and another hand on her hip.

I took in a large air, that smelled of fresh coffee into my lungs. "Ally, stop being annoying and let me enjoy this book!" I joked,, putting an eyebrow up.

"You are so lucky I'm on job duty right now. 'And the customer is always right' " she mocked the last part, rolling her eyes.

I just laughed as she made her way to other customers.

Ally and I worked at the local cafe shop as waitresses during the week. Only I took mondays and wednesdays shifts. And Ally took tuesdays along with thursdays. Only fridays we worked together after school.

"Oh, Ally dear!" I said not taking my eyes off the page.

She came up to me. "Yes, sweet Emma?" she mocked.

I help up my empty coffee cup, shaking it, to motion her to pour it full. She scoffed, rolling her eyes jokingly, as poured me coffee.

"Thank you" I smiled looking at the words in front of me.

"I'll get you, Emma" Ally muttered under breath, with a laugh.

By the time, I finished my book "The Host" by Stephenie Meyers. I had puffy eyes. I couldn't believe the book. It was seriously good. In a romance kinda way.

"What are you crying about now, Emma?" Ally came over to my table after finishing her shift.

"This book" I said cleaning any remainder of my tears. "She died and then came back to life! And the guy she used to like doesn't like her anymore because someone else is in her body. And then she starts to like some other guy" I said out loud. "But in the end it all work out" I sniffed. "It all worked out" I say with a smile.

"You should totally read it, Ally" I say looking at her.

She just standing there, rolling her eyes at me.

"What?" I say.

"You. Need. Help" she states.

"Well, thanks" I frown.

"C'mon, lets go home" she says putting her apron on the counter and pulling me along with her, out the door.

"You just sat there for like three hours straight. The least you need is a good night sleep" Ally says as we walk to my house.
