Golden Glow

BACK AT IT AGAIN TODAY, let's get it 

*Ume- after the call*

'She's coming home' thoughts of how much I missed Mei ran through my head, the house hasn't been the same without her. Then again, neither had Yuzu, I couldn't help but smile so big.

I waited and waited, 'where is she? It's been over an hour' I said internally seconds before the front door burst open. Spinning around I saw Yuzu glowing gold with purple streaks surrounding her Limbs, 'ohh crap.'

"Yuzu sweetie what happened?" She was mumbling something to the figure in her arms, I looked down to see Mei bleeding and unconscious. Then I heard what she was saying. "Don't leave me, don't leave me." Over and over. I turned to go get the first aid supplies and said, "To the room, Quick!" A gust of air made my hair blow and I turned quickly, they were gone.

I ran to their room and saw them on the bed, Mei was being held against Yuzus chest. I placed my hand on her head, 'I'm going to have to explain this anyway, might as well heal her this way.' Yuzu looked up with unseeing eyes as my own body started to glow golden with pink lines curling around me, I channeled my energy to healing Mei's wounds. Closing my eyes to concentrate I stayed focused. I only opened them to look down at my work, but they were still there! Her wounds aren't even healed. 'Oh no, I don't have enough power for this..'

Checking Mei's pulse I felt a faint heart beat, but it was slowing down.

Slower.

Slower..

Slo.. it stopped.

I had tears in my eyes as I tried to pull Yuzu away, "baby she's g-gone" I stumbled with my words. Yuzu looked at me, "what?" I took a deep breath, "Mei is gone Yuzu.. she died.. her heart, it's not beating anymore."

She started mumbling again, "no, come back," I broke inside, Mei was gone, and Yuzu was broken even worse than before. "Yuzu, she's go-"

She started mumbling more, "come back to me damn it! You don't get to die! You can't hurt me and then just die! Come back to me Mei, now!" Her body began glowing brighter than before, I could barely look at her I saw her. "MEI! COME BACK NOW!"

The light dimmed and I could finally see what was happening, looking at Yuzu and Mei I could see her purple streaks curling around Mei's body connecting her to Yuzu with them, "come back" she said, green sparked in the corner of my eye. 'What is that' I looked.

Out of no where Yuzu had green streaks joining her purple ones wrapping around both of their bodies, "come back to me." A flash of blue.

Every time she spoke to Mei new coloured streaks would encircle them. I couldn't believe my eyes, this isn't happening. It can't be, I must be seeing things. The amount of power this would take.. its impossible, she just got awakened!

"Come back." Red

"Mei, please.. don't leave," orange.

"Don't abandon me again!" Yellow.

I don't believe this. By rights my daughter should be dead with how much power she's using, there's no way she could withstand anymore.

I spoke too soon, I heard Yuzu quietly say "I forgive you for leaving.. just come back," I looked up to see a bright white streak twist and loop around both of their bodies. It entangled all of the other colours tangling them together.

It looked like a rainbow encircled by a band of white merging them together, I could feel the power she had pulsing from her body. Yuzu started to glow a brighter gold, 'What is happening' I thought to myself.

I heard a muffled "Yuzu," my head snapped towards Mei, who had opened her eyes. Yuzu took a breath, and all of the coloured bands fizzled into thin air. Mei fell asleep.

I heard the front door open, I left the room to see Shō walking in, "we have a long night ahead of us, Yuzu came back with Mei, she-" he cut me off.

"I know, we can deal with that later.. Ume, she's awakened." He looked at me knowingly, "And-" he went to speak again but this time I cut him off.

"They're back aren't they?" He just sighed and nodded at me, then spoke, "first things first... where's Mei? She was hurt.." I led him to their room, before I knocked on the door I turned to face him, 'I should warn him first' thinking to myself.

"Be cautious, she's not in control. Don't make any sudden moves.", I turned back and knocked before opening the door. We saw them sitting side by side on the bed, Both staring at the floor. Her golden glow was dimming, 'good her powers are calming down, should be normal soon, need to be calm to talk about all this'

"Oh thank god!" Shō exclaimed and ran to hug his daughter before I could stop him.

"NOO!" I yelled, too late, Yuzu was glowing brighter and was in a defensive stance in front of Mei. "I told you! No sudden moves! WHATSOEVER! She needs to calm down we can't talk about this till she does, step back!"

"How do we calm her down then? I want to check on my girl." Shō said to me, "I understand I do too, but we can't until she's calm and not powered up. We need to think of something that always calms her. But first Shō, please... step back, slowly." And so he followed my instruction.

Mei stood up and I threw my hands up, "Mei no, she will react to sudden movements."

She shook her head at me, "I can calm her down, just, trust me." She looked at me pleading, I trust her so I nodded. I watched Mei slowly wrap her arms around Yuzu and huged her from behind, I watched, amazed that it was actually working, Mei started speaking, "Yuzu.. come back to me.. I'm sorry I left just.. come back."

My daughters eyes slowly stopped glowing and her golden glow faded, Mei let go, and she blinked a few times, "mamma?"

She fell to the floor, "YUZU!" I ran to her, 'please wake up.'
