History

ITS BEEN SO LONG!!! I'm sorry I lost interest for a while and this chapter isn't anything amazing but I'm hoping now that I've gotten through it, I'll pick up again. It doesn't explain much but bare with me!! 

Yuzu

Mei and I finished our food and I took our dishes to wash them. Just as I finished cleaning, our parents walk in, "hello mama! Hello papa!! How are you doing today?" Mei's dad looked at me, beaming really, "YUZU!! You called me papa again!! YAY!" I chuckled at him as my mom smirked herself, Mei sat at the table looking serious.

"So we have to talk again.. we have discovered something about our connection, yet again." Mei stated looking a little nervous. 'You okay baby?' I thought looking at her, she glanced in my direction, 'yes my love, just curious and a little nervous.'

I smirked at her, 'yeah I thought so... I felt your nerves from here! It's okay Mei, I'm with you, it can't be bad, I feel that in my heart.' She looked at me again, and I saw her smile and nod slightly.

"We need to talk again? What happened?" Shō asked, we looked at each other before Mei answered, "well today.." she quickly recounted her side of what happened when being chased by the pack today, quickly followed by my side. I finished the story by saying, "So we got home and I didn't want to leave her alone for a second so I took her into the bathroom with me and I saw my eyes really were glowing bright green in the mirror.. much brighter than they are now.." out parents looked at my eyes as if they just noticed they were glowing eyes now. Ume, my mom spoke first, "Yuzu.." she started, but stopped as if she decided to wait. "Please finish your story," so I did, I told them how I felt when I got home with Mei, and how she showed me a memory but this time, it came with emotions, her emotions.

They were silent for only moments, both Mei and I noticed they looked at each other, only briefly, but we saw it. 'Mei what do you think that look was about?' I silently sent a thought to Mei. She took a slow breath, 'I don't know Yuzu.. but I think we are about to find out..' and just as she finished her thought to me her father spoke up.

"I didn't think this was possible.. I read it in your books Ume but.." his voice trailed off as my mother slightly shook her head. "Mamma what's going on? How can Mei and I do all this stuff? This connection we have, I know is strong, but can't possibly allow us to FEEL each other's feelings... can it? And just why do my eyes glow? And where do all the coloured bands I can make come from I don't get it." I looked down at her entwined hands, I know she was thinking deep thoughts. "Yuzu.. I need to show you and Mei something, and it might help you but understand all of the information might not be accurate. These were handed down from ancient times and have been re-written many times over. It's the back story of our power kinda." I watched silently as she stood, walking over to the bookshelf and pulling down an old looking book.

I have never noticed that book before but then again I never spent much time looking at the books there before. She dusted it off as she walked over towards us again and spoke.

"I think you two should read this and then... then we can talk about it. I have a feeling you'll find the answers in here." My mother handed me the book and I looked at Mei, she nodded at me and I opened the cover. It wasn't until we finished the book from cover to cover that I understood anything. It wasn't a huge book but everything made sense.

"If this book is right," I started before Mei cut me off finishing my sentence. "Yuzu has the power of the gods." My mom and Shō looked at each other.

"I believe so." Was all my mother said.

"Well shit, this is gunna get complicated." Mei's dad stated.

We had no idea how right he was.
