Chapter 11- Man in steel

"So, where are they?" I asked.
"They said they would be here," Ruby replied.

I looked up and down the street where Blake and Sun said they would be. Of course, they were not there.

"Run! Here it comes!!!"

I looked down the street again and saw Sun and Blake with a huge robot on their tails. Well, Sun's tail that is. The robot looked a lot like the on from the hollow graph at the stage. But they weren't supposed to be out yet.

Ruby thought the same thing. "Aren't those supposed to come out next year?"

"Yeah," I replied, "But it looks like our friends got themselves a free sample."

Sun and Blake led the tin can into the freeway and were hopping from car to car, while the robot just slammed them aside.

Me and Ruby hopped on top of a Dust truck. I climbed down to the driver side window and saw...the old man again?! Who was this guy?! Never mind. "Follow that oversized tin can!" I shouted over the wind. The old man understood, and floored it after the giant robot.

I heard the roar of a motorcycle and looked to my right. Yang and Neptune were on a motorcycle riding along next to us. "Nice ride," Yang shouted.

"Thanks," I replied, "Just wanted to learn how to road surf. You should try it!"

I looked back at the road and saw multiple cars flying at us. "Hang on!" I heard myself and Yang say.

Ruby and I flattened ourselves against the top of the truck as the old man began swerving and spinning around the road, avoiding the cars like a pro derby driver. Again, who was this guy?!

Yang herself did some pretty impressive maneuvers until we were out of the "raining car gauntlet of death".

I hope those people had good insurance.

Neptune pulled his weapon off his back and began to fire electrical charges into the back of Roman's robotic suit. He then turned his gun into a trident, hopped off Yang's bike and thrust the trident into the robot- still hanging on, like an idiot.

"Neptune," I heard Sun yell, on a car just a little bit ahead, "Hang on!"

"I-I-I-m-m-m t-r-r-y-y-y-i-i-i-n-n-g-g-g!!!!!!" Neptune yelled, being swung back and forth like a rag doll.

Sun pulled out his staff and jumped at the robot. At that exact moment, Neptune decided to let go, and slammed into Sun. Knocking both of them off the freeway, and over the edge.

Idiots.

I saw a tree overhanging the freeway. I used my semblance to make its reach out and catch the Paladin by its foot, tripping it and sending it over the edge of the overpass. Ruby and I jumped off the truck after it. I had the tree throw us a branch to slow our decent. I grabbed Ruby by the waist, and then the branch, and swung us down.

I landed with Ruby in my arms, bridal style. We looked into each other's eyes for a second, before we both looked at the robot. It was slipping comically on a sheet of ice that I assume was made by Miss Ice Queen, standing a few feet away. Yang road down on her motorcycle and ran to us.

Ruby suddenly shouted, "Freezer burn!"

Yang used her shot gauntlets on the sheet of ice Weiss had put down. Mist and fog suddenly poured into the surrounding area.

I think I'll just sit this one out and watch.

Roman activated the robots motion detection lasers. RWBY raced around him, drawing his attention this way and that. Finally, Roman shot at one of them. Ruby then rushed the robot knocking it off balance.

"Checkmate!" she shouted.

Blake and Weiss began a major beat down on the robot's legs.

Roman activated one of the robot's many cannons and began launching missiles at Weiss and Blake. Weiss cast a clock shaped symbol on Blake, and she began blasting missiles out of the air with lightning speed.

"Ladybug!"

Ruby and Blake attacked the robot and cut it's left arm off. Yang hopped up on top of the robot and began pounding it with her shot gauntlets. Roman then backed Yang into a column supporting the overpass and Yang collapsed. Roman then picked her up and threw her through the support

I got up from my seated position and ran to her. Ruby stopped me. "Don't worry," she said, "With each hit she gets stronger, and she uses that energy to fight back."

Roman went to crush Yang, but to his surprise, she caught his arm with her bare hands. When she looked up, I saw her eyes had turned blood red. And with one punch, Yang destroyed the rest of the robot. A shot right to the cockpit.

The robot rolled a few times before it finally, fully dismantled.

Roman pulled himself out of the wreckage and dusted himself off, muttering, "Damn, just had this cleaned!"

Yang took a shot at him, but the flare didn't even reach him. I woman of about 4ft. stood in front of Roman. She wore a stylish combo of brown, pink, and white clothing with a matching umbrella, which she had opened before her. The woman then twirled the umbrella fancifully before delicately placing it on her shoulder. I then saw she had brown and pink hair. Her eyes were also mismatched, one pink, one brown.

Roman then stood up and bowed to us, "Ladies, Ice Queen," he was then interrupted by Weiss exclaiming "Hey!"
Roman continued, "It is always a pleasure. Neo, if you would."

Neo took a delicate bow.

Yang took this as a chance to rush Roman and his new henchman. She slammed her fist into where Neo would have been, however, both Roman and Neo had run of to a nearby air ship. Yang shattered the glass illusion of Roman and Neo, whom were already safely in their air ship and flying away.

"Well," Weiss said, "Looks like she made our plans, 'fall apart'. Eh?"
"There is time and a place for jokes Weiss," said Yang.
"Huh? And this wasn't it?"
"No, it was. It just wasn't funny."
"Well at least I try!"

Yang and Weiss walked off arguing about the joke with Blake trailing behind. Ruby and I began to follow, then Ruby asked, "Wait, where are sun and Neptune?"
I laughed, "If I know those slackers, they are probably of eating noodles somewhere."
"How do you know?"
"I don't."
