life is hard

"life is hard. it wasn't meant to be anything else. life is hard." she says again to really make the point. "it will knock you down. it will rip the air out of your lungs and break your heart simultaneously. it will give you hope that is only there to be inevitably shattered. it will give you sorrows and burdens that will go away. everything comes in seasons. the worst part of your life it isnt going to last." she pauses here as the flashbacks start. "the best part of your life happens so you get through the worst and the worst happen to make the best better. it balances out. I know that's hard to believe when your life is broken into pieces and the pain constantly pierces your chest. it will get better. those moments will get you through. it will take time and work but eventually you will genuinely laugh. you will cry from laughter and happiness instead of loss and brokenness. you will smile genuinely again. the sunlight will fill you with warmth after a long winter. you will breathe again. that water that you feel is in your chest will leave. that weight that you feel is dragging you down. will become lighter as you become strong. you just have to hold on to see it. you have to hold on to see those you love smile and to feel their hugs and hear their laughter. you have to stay to be able to breathe again. don't let the worst moments take away your future. life is worth the pain i promise. you can do this you can fight to stay here it will be worth it. so hold on. smile, laugh, cry, scream, rage like the ocean just stay here." she finishes and steps down hoping that this helps. she walks into the spotlight smiling at the peace she feels after the raging storm. knowing what it took to get here. knowing she'd do it all again. she embraces all of this like you embrace those you love when someone you love passes away. all with grace and a smile knowing she will be okay and finally trusting that fact and being willing to fight for it.
