To anyone who requested part 2 for Happier and A Thousand Years.....😶😶😶 .......they're coming I promise!!!!😂 This is a long one to make up for not posting in a while. To prove how long, this is the longest one I've ever written 2002 words!!! Yup.

Rye's POV:

"Remember to add my new number!!!" Harvey called over his shoulder as he walked away. I smirked and sarcastically saluted to tell him I'd heard, then turned around and started to trudge home.

When I finally reached the small brick house on the edge of the small cracked street, I turned the key and pushed the door open.

"Mum!" I called. No answer. Perfect. I can do whatever I want. I leaped up the stairs to my room, tossed my bag down, and flopped onto my bed. I took my phone out and plugged in my headphones. I turned my laptop on and logged in, pulling up a new tab and starting on a Science project I had due in a few days.

I had worked for a few hours when I remembered about Harvey's new number. I immediately unlocked my phone and started a new contact, typing in Harvey's number. Or what I THOUGHT was Harvey's number. I dropped my phone to the side, satisfied. My hands were hovering over the keyboard of my laptop when a notification buzzed on my phone. I stated typing mine and Harvey's usual greeting, a 'what's up', when I looked at the text.

Unknown Number: Excuse me, but who are you?

I laughed, typing back: Nice one Harv, can't get me there👌😂

Unknown Number: Huh? Who's 'Harv'?

I rolled my eyes, a little annoyed. 'What do you mean who's Harv? Stop playing-.........' My eyes' widened and I groaned looking at the number, I'd typed in the wrong one. I went to delete the number when another text showed up;

'My name's Mikey. What's yours?'

I hesitated, my finger about to press the delete button. I wanted to delete it, but I knew how rude I would seem.

'I wouldn't give out my name to a stranger if I were you. "

Mikey is typing.....

'I mean... normally I wouldn't, but at least you could e someone I can talk to. Everyone else around me is so boring.😒'
