Logan and Patton had just finished their Valentines day dinner, and were walking back home. Hand in hand they headed down the dark street, walking quickly, not wanting to be out in the dark for too long. "Let's take a shortcut!" Patton suggested, wanting to be home sooner. "Do you know a shortcut?" Logan asked, unsure if it would be a good idea. "Yup, our street is just through this alley" he said, pointing to a path between two buildings. Logan looked suspicious, but Patton reassured him with a smile, squeezing his hand.
They walked down the alleyway, moving quickly in the darkness. A gunshot rang out through the alleyway. Patton caught his boyfriends body, slowing his fall to the cement. "Logan!" he said, stunned at what just happened. There was blood coming from his side, soaking his shirt. Patton took off his cardigan, trying to stop the blood flow even though he knew it was too late. "Im so sorry" Patton sobbed. "Patton?" Logan said quietly. Patton looked his boyfriend in the eyes, tears running down his face "Yes, my love?" He said in a whisper. "I... love you... so much" Logan said, struggling to stay conscious. "I love you too, please don't leave me!" Patton cried, desperately trying to save his love. "I'm sorry" Logan said, barely a whisper. He took his final breath, going limp in Patton's arms. "No, nononono you can't be gone no, please wake up" Patton cried, shaking his deceased boyfriend "...please".
