Divine Realizations [ Clarion X Milori ]

Chapter 1 (Part 1)

Fairy Mary walked briskly but also hesitantly into the rooms of Queen Clarion, located in the interior of the pixie dust tree.
"Clarion, I-err - Queen Clarion, I mean my Queen", Fairy Mary stammered.
Queen Clarion smiled to her self inwardly, her subjects always had trouble with her formal title but she didn't mind it.
She was in the middle of preparing for an upcoming seasonal festival but stopped and turned calmly to give Fairy Mary her full attention.
"Yes, Fairy Mary? What can I do for you today?"
Fairy Mary was wringing her hands nervously.
"Well I uh needed to ask you something... personal." She replied back pointedly.
Once again Queen Clarion had the urge to laugh at the sight of tough Fairy Mary looking like one of Fawns' scolded bunny charges.
"You are free to ask me whatever you wish", Queen Clarion replied generously.
"Well I was wondering what the status of you and...The lord of Winters' relationship is in - right now", Fairy Mary finally drug out, letting a humongous sigh of relief go in the process.
Queen Clarion pondered it for a minute, of course she knew what status their relationship was in; nothing and lonely... again.
"Mary, why do you need to know such a thing?" Queen Clarion asked with genuine curiosity - no venom to be found.
"Mmmm The Lord Of Winter, well he's... very sick right now from warm fever. He crossed the border today doing the usual rounds but forgot to check the time and stayed out far to long. He was found by his snowy owl, Archimedes, and is currently in the frost infirmary but only a warm fairy can treat him.... another royalty." Mary stared with hopeful eyes at Queen Clarion, knowing that if the lord died, she would never see her beloved Keeper Dewey again... and of course his poor subjects!
Fairy Mary guiltily amended her train of thought quickly.
Queen Clarion stared at her for a moment, blankly, all the while trying not to let her panic/fear take over in hearing about Milori's predicament.
Fairy Mary was right, a warm blooded royal was his only salvation.
And he knew it.
And yet he still didn't call for her.
Ouch.
Queen Clarion thought back to after Pixie Hollow was saved by the winter fairies and her love, and after tinker bell and periwinkle had been reunited.
Finally together with Milori, she foolishly pushed him for too much, too fast, speaking of marriage and an alliance of the two realms.
She remembered his face.
Positively nauseated.
She was confused and thought he had shared her visions and wants of the future and asked him what the issue was.
It was then that he wrenched his hand from hers, letting it drop and saying with a ferocity that was undeniable that he couldn't do all of this, that he didn't want her and that he didn't need her help anymore.
Tears stung her eyes just thinking about it, but she was the Queen of Pixie Hollow, and therefore, could not allow her self to linger on the painful chasm in her heart that his harsh words had created.
Keeping an ever so calm demeanor, Queen Clarion replayed the same story to Fairy Mary. To which Fairy Mary then blinked and replied, "But my Queen you know that's not natural of him, something must have been very wrong and he was too afraid to tell you... I mean, nellsbells, I've courted and been courted by a lot of fairymen in my time and that screams of stalling if I do say so myself."
Queen Clarion relented and acknowledged that Fairy Mary was probably right.
"I'm afraid stalling or not, the Lord clearly stated his wishes."
While saying this, Queen Clarion floated gracefully over to her wardrobe, pulling out out her various winter garments.
"But then again I can't remember the last time I heeded to his stubborn wishes and will not make a habit of doing so now."
Queen Clarion declared with a faint smile, yes, whether he liked it or not she was going to show her cold lord that he needed her, she thought to herself.
And it was at that moment that Fairy Mary had an idea... a wonderful idea!
She told herself she wasn't doing this for solely herself, but the greater good of her queen and Pixie Hollow... which she just so happened to fall into!
"Right well, I'll meet you there Queen Clarion, Ill go and make sure everything runs smoothly until you get there", promised Fairy Mary.
"Thank you Fairy Mary."
Queen Clarion said with a grateful smile.

Fairy Mary flew as fast as possible to the Frost Infirmary, almost running down Sled and Rosetta in the process, and entered a very unhappy Lords' chambers.
