Meanwhile, Clarion and Skye had been spending lots of time together.
Miloris' secret mission only made him busier throughout the day, rarely allowing him to set time aside to see her.
Nothing new to Clarion but it hurt all the same.
However she too had been occupied.
Both her and Skye were making great headway, and had so far cleaned up the entire coast with help.
Tinkerbelle and the other tinkers were ecstatic as they opened up a new "Found Things" storage with all the new items they recovered from the clean up.
However there was still much left to do, as now that the trash was gone, they needed to keep it that way or any future litter that was sure to come from the mainland, out.
That was when Clarion told Skye about her brain child and the beginnings of her new invention.
One that would collect the trash before it even reached the shore, using the natural ocean currents to channel the garbage into various collection points around the island.
This would essentially create a chain barrier that would keep the trash from ever reaching the shore.
Everyday workers would then be tasked in maintaining the machine and sorting the trash.
After telling Skye breathlessly of her ideas, he eagerly welcomed them and praised her for her ingenuity.
The only qualm he had was that he did not know how they would get neighboring kingdoms to agree to let their workers trespass onto their lands to collect said trash.
Clarion chuckled however and reminded him that the pesky trash was an issue every ruler on Neverland loathed as it hindered work, hurt their crops and poisoned their resources.
In fact she would bet her wings that they would welcome her idea with open arms.
While she admitted communication was not always at its best, she had always been on good terms with other rulers especially with Kealy now out of the picture.
In all of this, Clarion was taken aback in how much she had come to value and cherish her friendship with Skye.
Not only was he kind and generous but also supported all her endeavors while giving good advice.
She would even say that he was her only real friend as she never had time in the past before to make lasting friendships.
At first Clarion had been wary of him, but now she couldn't imagine life without him.
But whereas she regularly vented her frustrations surrounding her dead marriage and the mundane (predictable) cycle that had recently become her life, he rarely confided in her.
At first she worried that she was overwhelming him with her ranting or that he simply did not think of her as she did him; a confidant.
But she later found out it wasn't that he didn't want to share things with her, he simply just had little to say.
The only thing that Skye truly lamented on was the fact that he was lonely and sometimes wished he could find a soul mate.
He had already filled Clarion in on how he raised his orphaned nephew and was a rootless sailor, which in turn only added to his lonely existence.
Determined to help him, Clarion vowed to start looking for a suitable woman for Skye.
She hated that her good friend was hurting and wanted to repay him for all the times he lent a listening ear and wisdom.
Plus he was so dang attractive that she couldn't possibly imagine it being hard to find a decent fairy willing to court him.

Meanwhile, Skye was just trying to keep his head above water.
These past few months he had gone from trying to get Clarion to fall in love with him, to falling in love with her.
He was in fact quite obsessed with everything she did.
Her infectious laugh, her contagious smile and beautiful disposition are constantly on his mind.
One thing is for sure; Milori doesent deserve her.
Everyday he watches as Milori further shuns her for his work and Skye doesent know how much longer he can idly stand by.
Every time Clarion vents to him about another transgression Milori has committed, it's all he can do to stop from telling her to just separate.
But he stops himself.
This wasn't the plan.
He's not supposed to care or be her friend, he's supposed to avenge his brother.
The rest is none of his business.
Yes, he and Clarion could be perfect together but he needed to stick to the plan and complete the mission first.
Only then could he focus on his building feelings for the queen, if she'd even speak to him after his plan was executed correctly.
Which it would.
It had to.
