Divine Realizations [ Clarion X Milori ]

Chapter 5

Fairy Mary looked between her love and Queen Clarion as they conversed intensely.
She and The Keeper had both been lounging together when Queen Clarion rushed into the room, looking quite pale.
They had quickly pushed apart and stood up to ask what the issue was, but before they could even get a word out, Clarion quickly told them of Lord Milori's situation.
Once finished she looked desperately towards The Keeper and asked what a royal life force was.
Dewey scrunched up his nose and furrowed his brows in thought.
"Well my Queen, it's been awhile but if I'm correct, if it's a royal life force you need, you got it. A royal life force is in essence you. You my queen and every divine-birthed royal have one, even Milori. However I don't know how this would help him, life forces are a very fragile thing, it's not as though it's a well you can give and take from."
"That's where your wrong sir."
The small voice pierced their thoughts and they all turned to see the nurse Clarion had just been speaking to, standing in the doorway.
"I have researched it and it can be done successfully and safely, however, there are risks as with anything powerful", the girl said gravely.
Fairy Mary examined her queens' face and saw her visibly relax, no matter the mention of her own possible peril.
"Whatever Lord Milori needs from me, he will get", Clarion stated factually.
"Please tell me more about the process."
"My queen wait", Fairy Mary and The Keeper both said in unison and Fairy Mary continued. "Think of your subjects, what will happen if this does not end well for you, who will rule the realm? What would Milori do if you did not survive?"
Queen Clarion looked both of them in the eyes and simply said,
"I don't know. But what I do know is that a life without Milori, even one without the hardships that come with our relationship, is not one I want to live, we have already lost so much time."
Not missing a beat, the queen continued,
"And Milori will not learn of what I'm about to do, you must all promise me this because he is horribly stubborn (she smiled at this) and would never accept the treatment if he knew he was taking it from me. Not even if it's mine to give."
She had never been more sure of something than right now.
The room was quiet, clearly at odds with the queens' dangerous decision, but all reluctantly nodded their heads in agreement.
Clarion then turned to the nurse and said, 
"Show me what to do."
