Chapter 12: Defender of the Bewilderbeast

(Normal pov)

Johann let out a startled squeak as Hiccup pounced at him, the foreigner tucked and rolled as Hiccup brought down his Inferno, barely killing the greedy man. Johann then drew out two more hidden blades from his sleeves and threw them with deadly accuracy, yet again, as Hiccup swatted the knives away, Johann then tackled the young Viking and began punching Hiccup hard in the face, he then lifted Hiccup up and slammed him into the ground. He then raised his hand and drew another throwing knife and plunged it towards Hiccup, who quickly moved his head out of the way in time. Hiccup then punched Johann across the face and then quickly swept the false traders legs out from under him and Hiccup quickly got up and put distance between himself and Johann.

Growling in fury, Johann snarled out. "You really believe your... 'utopia' will last? As long as there are dragons in this world, none of them are safe from the Cabal!"

Hiccup moved with lightning speed and proceeded to bash the butt of Inferno into Johann's face; sending blood flying out of the foreigners mouth, the Hooligan chieftain proceeded to grab Johann and drive his knee into his enemies gut and grabbed him by his belt and threw him into an ice wall. Johann groaned in agony as he slowly got back up to see the young Viking chief approach with an emotionless face.

"You're pathetic Johann." Hiccup snarled as he grabbed the older man by the collar of his fine tunic and drove his knee right into Johann's face, successfully breaking the old mans nose and causing Johann to cry out in pain. Johann was then hurled back toward the ledge of the ground where the two men were fighting, the older man slipped off the ledge but quickly grabbed on before falling to his death.

As Hiccup approached Johann, the older man looked up at the young Viking chief and gave him a pleading look. "Hiccup!! Please, help me!! I-I can't hold on much longer!!" Johann whimpered out as he tried pulling up but couldn't, Hiccup however placed his foot on Johann's hand and pressed down, causing the older man to cry out in pain. "S-Stop!! Stop Hiccup!! PLEASE!!!" Johann begged, Hiccup however leaned forward and seethed out. "You had the balls to come into my home, take me for a fool and attempted to steal from the Bewilderbeasts! You're crazy if you think you're getting out of here."

But before Hiccup could finish off the foreigner, the back of the Bewilderbeast nest was blown open; sending ice shards flying everywhere and spooking the three Bewilderbeasts and the dragons within. Hiccup took cover as a large piece of ice came flying in his direction, the piece of ice broke the ledge that Johann was hanging on to and he fell with a cry. The chief of Berk raced back to the ledge to confirm Johann's death, but was shocked to see the false trader latched onto on one of Mammoths spines and the older man ran for where the eggs were located.

Growling out in disbelief, Hiccup whistled for the nearest dragon to fly him over to Johann, a Hobblegrunt came to the chief and Hiccup climbed on the dragons back and pointed to where Johann was, the dragon took to the air and flew toward the older man. Johann turned around and grinned, he drew two more throwing knives from his sleeves and hurled them at the Hobblegrunt, unfortunately, both knives struck the dragon in the heart, killing it instantly, Hiccup then timed his jump and proceeded to tackle Johann.

Both males rolled around while exchanging blows to each others bodies, however Hiccup had the advantage, he pinned down Johann's arms with his knees and let out a war cry and was bashing Johann's face in. The older man tried desperately to defend himself but was beat into a bloody pulp by Hiccup.

"You would use an innocent, kind, amazing and gentle creature to rob, kill and destroy for your own self gain. You make me sick." Hiccup spat out at Johann as he then landed one last blow to Johann's face, sending blood, spit and a tooth to fly out of the older mans mouth. The false trader panted heavily and wheezed out. "S-Savor my demise while you can, bo-boy. G-Grimmel will ensure y-your utopia is in ruin and the C-Cabal will take all dragons in Norway before leaving this... wretched place in ruin."

A cold and steel blade was plunged into Johann's throat, the mans eyes widened as Hiccup drew out his dagger from his left forearm brace and killed the foreigner. "Just die." Hiccup seethed out, he then slashed Johann's throat open and the older man died seconds later from heavy blood loss. Panting heavily, Hiccup rose back to his feet and could hear Mammoth speak to him.

::Dragon Master. There is a massive ship outside the nest. Possibly to retrieve the puny man you killed. Shall I send the intruders to a watery grave?::

Hiccup turned to Mammoth and nodded. "You need not ask me Mammoth. These vermin wanted to steal from the Bewilderbeast. Make them regret such intentions."

::Gladly::

Mammoth smashed through the nest and I laid eyes on a massive ship that was indeed foreign and I could see the crew on board cry out desperately but were then silenced as Mammoth rose to his hind legs and lunged forward to smash the ship. The force of Mammoth's attack ripped the ship in half and I could see Astrid and Shade descend down toward me.

"Babe."

"Milady."

We said in unison, Astrid landed Shade within the nest while Mammoth and the other two Bewilderbeasts made quick work of the remaining Hunter ships and stragglers. The Hooligan chieftess laid eyes on the bloodied and dead body of Johann before turning back to her husband. "Who would've known a worm like him had such balls." She said, Hiccup hummed in agreement before the two saw Calus and Artemis hover above them on their own Night Furies.

"Hey you two, the enemy is now at the bottom of the sea." Calus said with a smile, Hiccup nodded in acknowledgment. "Good. You and Artemis round up the swarm riders and ensure no other Hunter ships are in the area."

"You got it chief." Artemis said before Calus and Artemis urged their dragons to take off, Hiccup then let out a sigh and looked out toward the horizon, Astrid placed a hand on her husbands shoulder. "Hiccup?" She asked, Hiccup turned to his wife and shook his head before speaking what was on his mind. "Here we are again, on the brink of another war." He said in disbelief before looking back out toward the horizon. "With Toothless out looking for the Light Fury, the Bewilderbeasts are the alphas for now. But something tells me that they may not be enough to repeal the hordes of enemies amassing against our people, nation and way of life."

Astrid interlaced her fingers with her husband and when Hiccup looked into Astrid's fierce ocean blue eyes, the woman encouraged her husband. "I'm with you, in this life and the next my love. As are we all." She said while gesturing to the dragons, Berk and Norway itself, Hiccup nodded in thanks and kissed his wife's sweet lips, she kissed him back and caressed Astrid's cheeks. "Thank you Milady, you always know what to say to ease my fears."

"Its my specialty." Astrid replied back with a cocky grin, causing husband and wife to chuckle before the two mounted Shade and they returned back to the village.
