Valka looked behind her to see the Cabals dragons still following her and Cloudjumper, looking into her lap, she gazed at her sons form. He was slightly thinner, no doubt due to the Cabal depriving him of food, so the body ate the muscle he had in order to survive. That, and her boys cheeks had scruffy stubble due to days without shaving that unwanted hair, his hair was longer, his clothes filthy and he was in desperate need of a bath.
::Valka::
Cloudjumper's voice entered said woman's mind and she looked below them to see several small ships all ablaze. Valka urged Cloudjumper to fly faster, the Stormcutter obeyed his riders urges and pumped his wings harder, when they exited the light fog, Berk came into view and smoke came off several homes and buildings.
More so at the Haddock home itself.
Shaking her son, Valka spoke to her sleeping son. "Hiccup! Son! Wake up!" The Hooligan chieftain woke up and groaned, he was about to ask what's going on, but looking towards Berk, the first thing he saw was his home, burnt to the ground. Placing a hand on Cloudjumper's neck, Hiccup spoke gently to the Stormcutter. "Can you please take us down Cloudjumper?"
::Certainly Hiccup::
Once the Stormcutter landed, many of the Hooligans and Strike people saw their chief safe and sound and flicked to him.
"Its the chief!"
"Thank Thor he's alive!"
"Welcome back chief."
Hiccup saw Calus and Artemis approach him, the two Strike citizens gave Hiccup a frown as they gazed at his weakened state. The people of Berk parted when Astrid squeezes through the crowd and laid eyes on her husband, the two locked eyes on each other and before Hiccup could speak, Astrid broke into tears and flung herself into his arms, completely ignoring his revolting odor and clammy skin.
"Gods Hiccup... I missed you so much." She choked out, Hiccup turned to Calus and the man informed his chief. "Krogan and a squad of Flyers attacked not long ago, they were looking for Toothless. They killed handfuls of our people... and—"
"Those animals killed our children." Astrid finished Calus's sentence, Hiccup gasped in shock, horror and disbelief. Pulling away from his wife's embrace, his eyes were swimming with tears, Astrid's too, she nodded at him and confirmed it. "They killed our children Hiccup. They burned our home down and the whole structure caved in on itself and killed them." Hiccup let out a sob as he fell to his knees and clutched his hair. As the tears slid down Hiccup's cheeks, he remembered Grimmel's words the first time they met.
"I will destroy everything you love."
Who was next? Valka? Gobber? The gang? Berks people and dragons? Astrid?
Hiccup felt arms wrap around him and he stared into Astrid's own tear stained face. "I can't lose you too Astrid." Hiccup said while grasping her arms, she nodded and caressed his cheeks lovingly. "Nor I you my love." After those words, Hiccup turned to his mother, Gobber, the gang and all of Berks inhabitants— Hooligan, Strike and dragons.
"Prepare yourselves! The Cabal thinks that we'll accept this... cowardly attack without repercussion? Well they're wrong!" Hiccup said as he then rose to his feet with a groan and clenched his hands into fists. "If we want to win this war? We need to remove the head of serpent. Starting with Grimmel." Turning to the gang and the best riders Berks has to offer, Hiccup concluded his words. "Prepare, in three moons time? We're going to assassinate Grimmel, finish the Cabal off and end this war once and for all."
