(Eret's pov)
Making my way to Hiccup's tent, I opened the flap to reveal my chief and handfuls of other high ranking Hooligans-- Astrid, Calus, Artemis, Gobber, Valka and the dragon riders. "You summoned me chief?" I asked, Hiccup nodded, I noticed that Astrid, Artemis and Hiccup's faces looked much better as then before, thankfully Calus's Night Fury, Winter, provided the healers with his saliva and that stuff has incredible healing properties.
"I did. Thank you for coming Eret." Hiccup said with a light smile as he urged me forward, the group of Hooligans were gathered around a small table, so I stood between Gobber and Valka and listened to what my chief had to say to me. "Our scouts have recently reported that an armada of ships advance toward our location flying the Bludvist crest. Kjell and Chimola are also accompanied by Romans according to the scouts." Hiccup then looked into my eyes and raised his eyebrows at me. "Do you believe that you and your crew can recruit Sami and Inuit tribes to aid us?" He asked, my eyes widened slightly but I gave my friend a reassuring smile and nodded. "Yes. Me and my mates can deliver you reinforcements."
Hiccup smiled and nodded to me in gratitude, I then licked my lips before asking. "If I may, what will you be doing chief?" Hiccup turned to me and simply said. "Rallying our allies and extending invitation to all the Viking, Swedish and Danish tribes the Cabal have attacked." Nodding in understanding, Valka placed a hand on my arm, turning to her, I looked at the elder Haddock and she smiled lightly at me. "I'll accompany you Eret, I've grown rather fond of your company." I smiled at the beautiful woman and nodded before turning back to Hiccup. "When do we leave chief?"
"Now." Was Hiccup's answer, he then gestured to everyone else in the tent. "We'll round up our survivors and continue heading West. We can't risk allowing the Bludbvist's and Romans arrive here, so we're vacating this place." Hiccup then nodded to everyone and dismissed everyone, once outside, I sighed heavily before approaching Skullcrusher. "Looks like we're going for an adventure boy." I said while patting my dragons chin, the Rumblehorn nuzzled into my pats and growled lightly.
::I'm ready when you are Eret Son of Eret::
Skullcrusher's voice entered my mind, I nodded at my dragon and saddled on, turning to my crew who had dragons of their own, I laid eyes on Ug, Teeny and No-Name who were riding Snifflehunch and Snafflefang dragons.
"Right, you lot ready?" I asked to my mates, my three friends turned to the rest of our crew and whistled out, they soon mounted their respective dragons and nodded in confirmation that they were set. Turning to my right, I saw Valka and Cloudjumper ready to take flight as well, the middle aged woman placed her helmet on and nodded at me, nodding back at her, I urged Skullcrusher to take to the skies, with Valka and Cloudjumper flying by my side.
This was not going to be a small task, because many Sami and Inuit people still serve the Cabal as trackers and Dragon Trappers. But the only reason I joined Drago was because the man was paying a fortune, but now? I regret selling off such amazing creatures to a madman like him, when Hiccup told us all that Drago in fact survived? I was shocked, but hearing of his death? It made me breath a sigh of relief that both man and dragons are safe from him.
But the Grimmel and the Cabal are still out there; threatening to destroy us all and take all our dragons to build a new dragon army to conquer the world. Hopefully, should the gods will it, we can sway many of the Sami and Inuit tribes to our cause and push back the Cabal out of Norway and teach the foreigners that we are not weak.
(Normal pov— Bludvist dreadnaught, The Conquer)
The Conquer was undoubtedly the largest ship in the Cabal armada, it was the size of six small islands and armed to the teeth with immobilizer launchers provided by the late Johann and Nikora Stomheart, filled to the brim with soldiers and warriors who serve the Bludvist's and outfitted with enough dragon proof cages to hold an entire nest full of dragons. Protective wise, there was dragon proof metal at the ships weak points to ensure that no dragon could sink this monster of a ship. There were massive dragon skulls, bones and razor sharp sticking out of the skulls maws to install fear in the hearts of both man and dragon. The main crests on the massive warship was the main emblem of the Cabal— a Monstrous Nightmare with a sword going right down the center of it and the next emblem on the massive ship was the Bludvist crest— a rising son.
