The bell rang just as I made it to the music room. I quickly made my way through the already open door and took my seat on the top platform. (A/N My music room at school actually had like a mini stage!)
My teacher looked up from his desk and said hello. I gave a short 'hi' back and returned to my thoughts. I don't particularly like Mr. Jay; he is very... I don't know strict I guess about stupid things. Like how we aren't allowed to say anything sucks in his class room.
I turned my attention back to the front of the room as the others students finished filing into the class. No one ever sat beside me. I mean none of them actually ever bullied me, they just didn't want anyone to see them close to me for fear that they will be treated like shit too.
Mr. Jay handed out new sheet music to everyone. Looks like we're doing a new song today. My eyes glanced to the top of the page and saw that the song was called 'The Sun is Rising' by Britt Nicole.
"Alright, we will be rehearsing this song for the next month or so. Then we will be performing it at this year's talent show. I have asked David Archibald to come and watch, if he likes it he has agreed to record and edit us. Now are there any questions?" (A/N David actually came to my school and we wrote and recorded a song, it was awesome.)
The teacher's pet of the class, Alyssa, raised her hand. Before Mr. Jay could even address her she began to open her trap.
"Will we be performing as a choir or will there be solos?"
"Good question! I would like to have one lead through the whole song while the rest of the choir joins in on the choruses. Over the next few days I'm going to pull each of you a side and ask that you sing a piece to me. After I've heard you all I will pick who I want as the lead."
At least I don't have to worry about getting the lead. There are some people in this class who are way better than me.
I shoved the music in my bag as the bell for lunch rang. I practically ran out the class room door and made my way out of the building as fast as possible. I don't sit in the cafeteria at lunch, I don't even stay on the property anymore.
We have 1 hour for lunch and I always spend it at the library that's just down the road from school. I don't usually eat during the day, only around mom and Aspen.
Normal people go to the library to read books. But as I've been told many times I am not normal. I go to sit my ass on the computer until it's time to head back to hell. Usually I go on Wattpad.
After I logged on I decided to see if anything new was posted about me on Facebook. I know that I probably shouldn't but I did anyway. 5 people mentioned you in their status.
One of those people were Aspen. The others were Anna and her followers.
"You weren't in science today Emo Girl, did you finally bleed out?"
"Why haven't you just killed yourself yet? No one wants you here."
"Come on Emo Girl you can do it! Just a little deeper next time."
I stopped reading. 3 more months of this? Why do I even have them on Facebook?! I sighed as I checked Aspen's status.
"We are going to talk Ryder whether you like it or not."
Oh yeah. Talk. Every time he wants to talk he ends up checking my wrists for new cuts. I haven't cut since the last time he checked, which was like 4 days ago.
I know he cares but sometimes he's like an annoying older brother. I logged off and began to walk back to school. Exactly where I want to be...not.
Time Skip
The rest of the day passed by uneventful. Well compared to every other day. When the final bell rang I went out to the front where Aspen was already waiting. He must be serious about talking this time.
I got in and shut the door without saying anything. I'm still kind of upset that he's treating me like a child instead of a friend. He pulled out and headed towards my house.
"We are going to eat at your house then your mom said you could stay over again as long as I get you to school."
I nodded and looked back out the window. Like I said child, not best friend. Once we pulled into my drive way I got out and quickly put a fake smile on my face. My mom thinks I enjoy school and that I've always had a good day.
I walked into the house not even waiting for him. My mom was already standing in the entry way. She came over and gave me a hug before telling me that dinner is in 10 minutes.
I thanked her and ran up the stairs as Aspen made it inside. OK I might be acting childish but he deserves it. He's not my father, he's not my brother and he's not my boyfriend. Even if I wouldn't mind if he was... No! You're mad at him Ryder remember.
I closed my bedroom door and locked it. I went over to my bed and flopped down. Why does he have to be like that? All caring and gorgeous. I wish this stupid crush would just fuck off. He'd never like me that way.
I groaned as I got up and went to my closet and grabbed new clothes. As I was stuffing my pajamas into my bag I heard Aspen through the door. I knew he wouldn't stay downstairs.
"Ry open the door."
"No."
"Just open the damn thing!"
"No!"
I mean I knew I'd have to open it to go down for dinner but I want to hold off on this 'talk' as long as I can. I guess that won't be long as I heard my mom yell up the stairs that dinner was ready.
Grabbing my bags I opened the door and ran past Aspen and down the stairs. He sighed deeply behind me as we both walked into the dinning room.
After a slightly awkward dinner we got back in his car and drove silently back to his house. I want to go back. Like now.
