Chapter 25: She's In a Gang

Mondays, everyone hates them. Today is another dreaded monday at this god awful place. Over the weekend Cyan had managed to somehow enroll herself into the school system. Of course, she had put herself in all of my classes. Aspen had to go to work early this morning so we ended up taking her car to school. The ride was filled with our laughter and our off key singing to the song 'Caught Like A Fly' by Falling in Reverse. I missed these kinds of memories with her.

We had finally made it to school and parked far in the back of the student parking lot. As I got out of the car the heat hit me, reminding me that summer was quickly approaching. There was only a month left until graduation. Hopefully with final exams coming Anna will forget about me, but then again she's never missed an oppertunity to hurt me.

"Are you just gonna stand there or are we gonna get out of this fucking heat?"

Quickly I looked up and saw Cyan standing there looking at me expectantly. Letting out a chuckle I fixed the strap of my bag on my shoulder and walked forwards. We made our way into the school and to my locker. Standing at my locker waiting for me was Niki. I haven't talked to her in what feels like forever. Making our way over she smiled and glanced at Cyan with a cautious look.

"Hey Niki! This is my childhood best friend Cyan. Cyan, this is my new friend Niki."

For a moment they just looked at each other. Almost as if they were mentally seeing if they could trust each other. However, after another moment Niki slowly raised her hand out.

"Nice to meet you, the name's Niki."

Cyan hesitated for a brief second before placing her hand into Niki's and giving it a single, but firm shake.

"Cyan."

"Well now that's over with, we better go before we're all late for class."

*Insert time skip*

It was now lunch and also time for me to point out Anna and Mandy to Cyan, but do it somehow and avoid confrontation.

With it still being early, we quickly made our way into the cafeteria and to a table in the very back. People began piling in once Niki, Cyan, and I had sat down. We kept to ourselves; we were somewhat hidden by the kids from band, who had their instrument cases on the table.

My eyes were glued to the door as I watched, waiting for them to walk through the door. I knew they would show up. All her fillers and the jocks sat in here for lunch, so of course they would come here. They probably just want to arrive 'fashionably late'. (A/N heheheheh love this song)

Not even a minute later the cafeteria doors opened and in they walked, almost everyone's heads turning to look at them.

"That's them, the blonde one's Anna and the brunette is Mandy."

Cyan turned and she gasped as her eyes widened slightly. She quickly turned back and stared at me with her mouth slightly open.

"What? Do you know her or something?"

She paused before she replied. Like she was thinking over again to herself.

"You remember how my dad was in that gang?"

"Yeah.."

"Well she's not only a member, but she's also the gang leader's daughter."
