Darry

You drove over to the Curtis house. It was movie night and all the guys were going. Everyone had invited their girlfriends, even Darry invited you, which surprised you because Darry never goes out to places like that. He never has the time.

When you got there all the boys were in the living room. They were doing all sorts of things, but they were mainly with their girlfriends. You looked around and didn't see him. "Where's Darry?"

"Kitchen," Soda said.

"Okay, thanks," You said and walked into the kitchen. You seen Darry doing the bills.

"Ugh," He dropped his pencil and leaned back in the chair, running his hands through his hair in frustration.

"Darry?" He turned around and looked at you. A smile made its way on his lips but it faded quickly.

"Hey, I don't think I'll be able to make it tonight. I'm sorry."

You were disappointed but you shrugged. "That doesn't matter. I can stay with you."

"No, you don't need to. Don't let me stop you from having a good time."

"Oh please, I don't wanna go without you. As long as I'm with you I'll have a good time."

"Fine. If you want to stay you can. I'll be done here soon, so you can go sit in the living room with the guys 'till I'm done.

You nodded and did what he told you. You sat down on the couch and waited. You talked to the boys until they left, then it was just you and Darry. You in one room and Darry in the other.

You decided you've had enough of being by yourself. It was supposed to be a fun night but this was the opposite. You got up and went into the kitchen. Darry was still working. That's all he does.

"Darry, are you almost done?" You sat down in the chair beside him.

"Yeah, I'm sorry this night didn't go the way you planned."

"It's fine. Like I said before, as long as I'm with you I'll have a good time."

He smiled and wrapped his arm around you. "Well, since I'm almost done I guess I could take a little break."

You smiled back at him and kissed his cheek. You both enjoyed the "little break".
