You laid in your bed. It was 12:37 and you should be at school but your sick. Neither of your parents are home since they are at work, so you are home alone. You slept almost all day yesterday and all night. You just woke up and didn't really feel like sleeping.

You rolled out of bed with a groan and ran your fingers through your hair. You walked into the kitchen and looked in the cabinet for some soup. You weren't hungry, but you knew you needed to eat something. Even if you couldn't keep it down you at least wanted to try.

As you were getting the soup out, there was a knock at the door. Please don't be anyone important, you thought. You walked to the door in your pajamas and your hair in a messy bun that was falling down, leaving strands of hair in your face. You peeked through curtain and seen Johnny standing there.

You opened the door and smiled. "Hey, Johnny," You said, your voice raspy. "What are you doing over here?"

"I heard you were sick. I came to see if you needed company."

You smiled. "Thank you, Johnny. It's nice of you to do that. But I don't want to get you sick."

"And I don't want you to be home by yourself," Johnny said with a smile and walked inside. "What are you doing up, anyway? Shouldn't you be asleep?"

"I slept all day yesterday. I don't want to sleep anymore. Besides, I need to eat."

"Are you hungry? I could fix you something."

"Not really but I need to eat. I left a can of soup on the counter. Can you fix it, please?"

"Sure." Johnny walked into the kitchen while you sat down on the couch. You were cold so you grabbed a blanket and wrapped it around you and turned the TV on. Johnny came back a few minutes later with a bowl of soup. "Careful, it's hot."

You nodded, setting the bowl down in your lap to let cool. Johnny sat down beside you but you scooted over. Johnny rolled his eyes and scooted closer to you causing you to scoot over again. Finally you had enough and moved to the arm chair.

"Johnny, I don't want you to get sick. Stop it." Johnny didn't listen. He got up and sat on the arm of the chair.

"I don't care. I want to make sure you're okay. That's why I came over. I'll stay here all night if I have to."

You finally gave in. It was clear Johnny didn't care if he got sick or not. And you knew you couldn't get him to leave no matter how hard you try.
