Leahs pov
Why am I nervous for my mom to meet Jen when she doesn't know a thing happening between us. It'll be fine..
Shortly my mom arrives. Jens cousin hasn't even dropped off her niece yet so it's just us.
"so why exactly did you wanna take Gabi for the day?" My mom asks. "This is Jennifer, her niece is coming and i don't know. Just wanted them to have a play date" "hi nice to meet you" jen smiles and shakes my moms hand and my mom happily does the same. "Well in that case I'm going out with your dad. Have fun!" My mom says and throws her hands up and happily leaves. I laugh and close the door.
"That's it?" Jen giggles. "My mom loves when she's kid free" I giggled. "I can see" Jen says. "Well this is my baby sister Gabriella. We call her gabi" I said and Jen starts glowing with a beautiful smile and started softly pinching her cheeks. I got distracted by that. Then she looks back at me and her smile gets softer.
"She's beautiful. Just like you" Jen says. "Hmm thank you... say hi Gabi!" I tell her and she reached her hand out to Jen. We walked over to the couch and I put Gabi down to play on Jens carpet floor.
"Here she can play with Leoras toys" she says. "Leora is such a pretty name!" I said. "I know right?" She said. I smile softly and put my eyes back at Gabi. She's two so she can talk but a lot is gibberish.. but she knows a few things.
"You must be good with babies then" she says to me and places her hand softly on mine. "I mean- yeah." I shrugged. She scrunches her nose and lays her head down on my shoulder. "You sister gives me baby fever" she says. "When I marry you..I'm adopting us a baby" I said out of the blue.
"When" She says softly but doesn't look at me and traces her finger on my thigh. "I'm marrying you one day" I said kind of joking around but at the same time I would love to marry such a perfect woman like her.
She looks up at me and smiles then kisses my lips. "Become my girlfriend first" she whispers. I bite my lip and cup her cheek and smile. But I couldn't just say okay. We still need time before we become official. We started to cuddle more on the couch and messed around, laughing and kissing till we heard Gabrielle yell and threw a toy at us.
"Hey!" I said. Gabi starts to smile and laugh at us.
"Oh shit. They're here. I'll be back" Jen says and gets up after reading a text and just leaves the apartment.
She doesn't take long and shortly after comes back.
"Her she iiiiis!" I hear Jen say and see a little girl run in the apartment but stops when she sees me and Gabi.
"Leora this is Leah. Leah this is my niece Leora." She says. "Hi sweetie" I said and happily waved at her. She smiles and runs back to Jen while wrapping her arms around her legs. "Babe she's harmlesss" she giggles. "Look! Her baby sister. That's Gabi."
"Gabi?" Leora asks cutely. "Yes! She's been waiting to meet you" Jen says. So Leora shyly goes to Gabi whose playing with her toys on the floor and sat by her. Jen sat back by me and holds my hand while watching them.
Leora easily started getting along with my sister and it was the cutest thing ever.
"Lee" Jen says. "Huh?" Me and Leora both said at the same time and Jen starts to laugh. "I meant Leora. Baby do you want Gabi to stay here all day?" She asks. "Yes please" She asks politely. "Guess you're gonna have to stay all day" jen tells me. "Was planning to anyways" I said.

Last day before New York
As I said my goodbyes to Jennifer since I visited her before her leaving to catch her flight to New York, she just kept talking and talking about everything she's excited to do there in New York and it makes me wanna go to New York one day again soon.
