Jens POV
"Leah!" Jens little sister yells as I go into Nicole's car. I gasp and smiled widely. "Gabriella is here!" I said. Gabriella squeals and jumps out of her car seat a bit to reach for me as I sat in the back seat by her. "Hi baby!" I said and kissed her cheek. "where is girlfriend?" She asks me. "My girlfriend??" I giggle. "yeah" she says. "She's right there outside putting her things in the trunk. She'll be here." I said.
Then Leah comes in and sits in the front seat with Nicole. "Gabriella!" She says happily. Gabriella laughs happily and tries climbing over the compartment to go over to Leah. So cute.
"I missed you bubs" she says. "Babe she was like 'where is your girlfriend?' To me when you were outside" I said. "Really??" "Sorry. I may have mentioned to her many times how you two are girlfriends." Nicole says. "Aw! That's fine I love it." I said.
We were driven home to our place by Nicole and her an Gabriella stayed for the rest of the day.
Gabi was playing around the house. Nicole was sitting by herself in the kitchen at the stools by the island. I was sitting at the couch, and Leah? Of course. Cleaning around.
"It's funny how the house already has such a nice beach view yet we were so stunned by our villa back in the Maldives" I said out loud so Leah could hear me. "That's because we were on top of water and transportation was by boat! Plus we had a nice ass pool" she said.
"true.." I said a bit softer and just focused on my phone, looking through all the pictures we took. Me and Leah took such beautiful pictures that I wanna have framed. Like we have this one picture of us in the club smiling, looking like we're having fun together. Then there's another one of us at the beach. A cute simple selfie we took together. I have the fierce face. She has the cute face. Then there's another of her arm around my neck with our faces pressed together as were smiling at the camera. My favorite one.
"Hey Leah" Nicole says. "What?" "Are you guys going to that carnival festival coming up next weekend?" She asks. "Um.." "I know you guys just got back but my friends are going and I really wanna go and I know it's super far. There's no way I could hide from mom and dad that I'm gonna be there the whole weekend if I do go because my friends, they're planning to get a hotel and everything and-"
"Nicole."
"Wha?"
"You cant keep lying to them all the time. What if you tell them some lie then something happens to you?! We'd have no information of where you are."
"That's why I'm asking if you guys are going so I can go with you. I'll even stay in the same hotel room as you guys! I just wanna go" She says. I just smile at my phone listening to their conversation. I don't even know if we're going. I'd like to go. But it's up to Leah.
"I don't know Nicole I'll let you know"
"When?"
"I don't know! Don't rush me"
"Ugh"
"Hey no attitude or else I won't even think about going" she says.
"Babe we should go though" I chimed in.
"See!" Nicole says. "Don't encourage her" "I'm not! I'm just saying. We could spend the weekend out in the dessert. We still have money since we didn't pay for much in the Maldives..and we haven't been to a festival in a while. I wanna dress up!" I said.
"You paid for that ring you got me" She says. "What ring?! What?" Nicole blurts out. Leah sighs.
"You two are engaged?!"
"No! Just a promise ring" Leah said. "Just a promise ring? So my ring isn't anything special? Just a ring? After everything I said?" I ask. "I didn't mean it like that Jen! I meant that it's not an engagement ring as if we're already getting married so Nicole doesn't have to go crazy about it."
