Finals is here and all I could think of is acing my grades and grabbing that first class. The dark circles around my eyes got pretty large and I don't have time to use make-up to fix it, I simply don't look in the mirror. I ran off to the library to get a seat, last week I ended up sitting on the floor😧 I never knew I am this serious about education until the thoughts of failing floods my imagination... an extra year? God forbid!
I walked briskly to the library as my stomach rumbled, I missed breakfast...... Again! When I say breakfast I mean an apple or anything my hand can grab easily.... See? Food isn't even a priority. I hope I don't come and kill myself and die because of boko. I said a simple 'Hello' to the librarian as she slide and pinned her glasses at the bridge of her nose, she nodded indicating I could carry on, I smiled and made way to my favourite seat in the library, I feel like a celebrity already around here. Talking about celebrities Olamide Baddo Sneh was coming to perform today, so I'm guessing it is the reason the library seems empty, some students ehn? Tomorrow they'd be saying they want to have first class, still all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy right? And I should be minding my business right? Stacking books on my table, I began to flip..... *sighs* here goes nothing

"Ouch!" I yelped from my sleep causing attention, trust me I have no idea how I ended up sleeping but someone just had to wake me by punching me with a pen. Not sure if I am mad about the not so kind wake-up call or me not finishing my beautiful thirty minute sleep, whatever it is I was mad.
"Who did that?" I whisper shout angrily looking around "Me" Someone whispered, turning around I saw Johnson "Why am I not surprised?" I asked rolling my eyes as he grinned smugly "What a pleasant way to treat your crush?" I asked rhetorically "I think you need a break from all of this" he admitted gazing at me with a sign of pity "You know what? You're right, I should go" I said returning some books to the shelf with the help of his hand and I left with no thought other than a good rest
"Yo! Slow down" I heard him yell from behind "Walk faster!" I yelled "Girl if you don't stop" He said obstructing my way "Johnson please let me be" I pleaded "Firstly, The name is Salim! Secondly, What's with you and ignoring texts? Why have you been avoiding me?" he asked. God! If only this boy knows what is worrying me right now "Johnson... I mean Salim not now please I'd explain everything better after having a good nap" I sighed "Okay fine, I'd walk you" He offered "Sure!" I smiled, dropping my bag on his hands he had left widely apart as he squirmed "Oh sorry I don't know the bag was that heavy maybe it is just me being strong" I flexed as he rolled his eyes "I can't with you" he huffed walking away "Wait" I said catching up with him

"Assalamu alaykum!" I greeted walking into Aysha's room "Amin wa'alayki salam" she responded briefly after finishing a Surah "Ahn ahn Maryam, so you dey this globe so" she exclaimed "I dey o!" I sighed "I've not been seeing you at the Muslim Association" she said "Yes! I now receive lessons from another islamiyyah" I stated "Ohh that's very good Ma Shaa Allah" "Please can I sleep in your room? My roommates are too noisy" I pleaded "Yeah sure, everyone has left for the weekends and I was just heading out" she said "Phew! Much better even, thanks a lot I'd make it up to you" I said laying on her bed as she laughed "Dama that is what you would always say"
"Lock the door on my way out, I'd call you when I return which might not be anytime soon" She said spraying herself with an Arabian perfume and I just noticed that she's all dressed up
"Where are you going?" I asked wiggling my eyebrows with a goofy smile on my face "To see someone" she blushed without even noticing "This kin love ehn, see how you're blushing" I teased making her blush even more, all these lightskinned sisters, it would take a whole stage lightening for someone to notice me blushing but melanin still popping all the way
