We had no idea where anything was and we didn't even really have an idea of what we wanted to do. Liam, of course, wanted to go somewhere to eat, so we were doing that before our real adventure started.
"Oh my God, just choose," I groaned and rested my head in my hands. "You're waisting time."
"Alright, alright, I'll just have fries and a milkshake," he smiled up at the waitress and she let out a sigh, relieved Liam finally made a decision after 5 minutes of waiting.
"I seriously don't understand how you eat so much all the time." I had my head rested against the wall and was sitting across from Liam so I could still face him when we talked.
"I don't understand how you don't." He lifted up from the seat, just far enough so he could get his mobile from his front pocket.
"Yeah, well.." I shrugged and dropped my gaze down to the table. Despite what Liam told me, I had paid extra attention to the things his fans said and I had put a lot of thought into it in the past hours.
"You're not.." he sighed and ran a hand through his hair, then leaned forward. "Please don't stop eating because of them."
"I never said I was going to," I shrugged, but felt a pain in my heart as I sat there right in front of Liam and told him I wasn't going to do something that I definitely thought about.
"I know how easy it is for those things to get in your head." He stared at the table, as if something on it interested him more than anything else.
"Yeah," I whispered quietly and crossed my arms over my chest. Liam and I had spent enough time with each other by now that he knew when I crossed my arms something was wrong.
"Ashley, I'm serious. I don't want it to get into your head. You just have to keep one thing fresh-oh, thank you," He stopped consulting me and took his milkshake and chips from the waitress. After she walked away, he continued.
"You just have to remember that you're perfect the way you are and eating is healthy," Liam finished and spooned part of his milkshake into his mouth.
"You're right," I sighed and rested my head in my hands, propping my elbows up on the table and looking around the room at others eating. It was strange how every time Liam and I went to small cafés, or not-so-popular places, no one knew who he was or noticed him.
"Here." I looked back towards Liam and stared at his hand. He was holding out the cup of chips to me and probably expecting me to take one.
"I'm fine, thanks."
"No." He took one out of the cup and held it out for me, closer to my face this time. "All you've had to eat in 24 hours is a tiny muffin, I'm not letting you go without eating."
"I hate you." I took the stupid chip from his hand and reluctantly ate it, chewing and swallowing quickly to get it over with.
"Good," he smiled and held out another one. I took it, not because I wanted to, but because I knew Liam wouldn't let me do anything else if I didn't. "See, it's not so bad."
"Whatever," I mumbled and played with the napkin in my hand, scrunching it into a ball and rolling it around between my fingers.
I wasn't going to lie to myself. I WAS hungry. In fact, I could go up and order my own milkshake with chips if I wanted to. But my thoughts were keeping me from doing that.
"Ashley." Liam glared at me, having heard the sound my stomach gave off.
"That's my name," I agreed and gave him a smile. He didn't return one.
"You're hungry, I know you are," he exclaimed, pointing at my stomach that wouldn't shut up.
"No I'm not-"
