"You're going to wear Converse to a pool." I stared down at myself, taking in my appearance of a black two-piece bathing suit with a coverup that still showed my stomach, jean shorts and my converse.
"You're not?" I raised an eyebrow and pointed down at Liam's bare feet.
"No," he shook his head and bent over his suitcase, then pulled out a pair of thongs. "I'm going to wear these like a normal person."
"You look funny in those," I giggled and held my phone up, signaling that I was about to take a photo of him. He gave me a sweet smile and two thumbs up and I snapped the photo, smiling to myself.
"You look fantastic in this," he mumbled in my ear then left tiny kisses along my neck and collar bone. I held back a small moan as his lips moved to different places against my skin, leaving butterflies in my stomach and the feeling of electricity inside me.
I turned around to face him and wrapped my arms around his neck, smiling up at him. "You mean that?"
"Of course, baby," he smiled back and gave me a kiss on the lips, one not too short but not so long I had time to get lost in it.
"Shall we head off to the pool?" I step away from him and grab my sunglasses from the dresser, putting them on top of my head so I'd have them for later.
"After you, lovely," he smiled cheekily and opened the door, side-stepping to let me leave first.
"There they are! It's them!"
"Oh, fuck me," I muttered under my breath and turned around to face the small group of fans that had probably been waiting for us for a long time.
"Now isn't a good time, maybe later?" Liam whispered back and I lightly punched his ribs, earning a chuckle. Though that did sound interesting..
"Liam, could we have a photo?" a boy asked, smiling up at Liam.
Liam turned to me and gave me a look, as if asking for my permission to take photos with the fans. "Yeah, whatever, go ahead," I sighed and leaned against the wall.
"We want you in the photo too, if that's alright? We love you both!" another fan spoke up, popping out from behind the boy.
"Liam?"
"It's fine with me," he shrugged and gave me a hardly noticeable nod, telling me it was okay.
"Okay," I shrugged and stood next to him, wrapping my arm around his waste. We went through the fans one by one, some taking them together and others by themselves.
We were finally down to the last one, when she said, "Ashley, I don't want you to be in this," and gave me a look that told me she never wanted to meet me in the first place.
"Oh okay," I said breathily, but before I could leave, Liam gripped my shoulder tight and pressed me closer to him, making it impossible for me to leave like she asked.
The photo was taken, despite me being in it, and then the fans finally took the lift back down to the main lobby. "She said she didn't want me in the photo."
I left Liam's side and slid the sunglasses down onto my face, ready for flashing cameras when I got to the bottom floor and pressed the button to go down.
"She was gonna get either both of us, or neither of us. If she didn't want you in the photo then that's too bad," he followed me onto the lift and pressed the 1 button.
"You know I'm not in the band, right? Your fans don't want photos with me, they want photos with you. I don't matter," I remind him.
When he didn't say anything, I knew I had proved my point. The lift came to a stop and I walked out after the doors slid open, not checking to see how far behind me Liam was.
