I hugged my legs close to my chest as I stared out the window, watching the cars and pedestrians speeding past. Rush hour was always a huge mess.

I turned my head when I heard a knock at the door and waited for whoever it was to walk in. It was probably just another nurse checking on me, they never went but 30 minutes without coming back. "Wait, what if she's sleeping?"

I smiled at the familiar Irish accent. "He has a point. Or what if she doesn't want company?"

"Bro, is she..she doesn't, like, look different..does she?" I stifled a laugh and climbed down from the window sill.

"Guys I'm sure it's fine," I heard Harry say.

"What do you know? You haven't seen her either!" Louis hissed.

"Are you done?" I asked with a small giggle as I opened the door. They all looked me over before attacking me in a massive group hug, causing me to fall down.

"Get off of me, you big apes!" I laughed and they quickly stood up. Niall held his hand out to help me up and I took it, smiling.

"How are you?" Harry asked, frowning a bit.

"I'm okay," I nod my head. "I mean, better than I was."

"Have you..uh.."

"Just sit down and I'll tell you what's happened," I rolled my eyes and motioned towards the sofa. For being a mental hospital, I was surprised when I learned how cozy the rooms were here.

"Okay..so you know I had that..episode three months ago," I waited for them to nod their heads. "After that, I woke up here with a bandage on my stomach and no memory of what went on before. I only know what happened because the nurses here told me."

"Well..what happened?" Niall asked carefully.

"I don't know how to explain it so it makes sense. Um..my mind kept replaying an awful scene in my head, and it caused me to lose control of my actions. I guess I found a kitchen knife and.."

"Oh," he mumbled, staring down at the floor.

"I uh, they didn't actually disappear until after two weeks of being here. I haven't seen them since, and they told me if I keep up my progress I may get to come home next week."

"I talked to mum and dad," Harry said out loud, fumbling with the rings on his fingers. "They keep blaming themselves for this."

"I'll deal with them. It isn't anyone's fault, I'm just..I don't know. It's no one's fault," I shrugged.

"You've been here for almost three months?" Louis asked, looking around the room and scowling.

"Yeah," I shrugged. "It's actually kind of nice here. And my mum told me since I've missed so much school already, she's letting me wait until next year to finish. To make sure I'm well enough by then to start. It gives me a year to, you know..recover I guess."

"Well, it looks like you've come a long way since then. Actually..don't take this the wrong way, but you look better than you did even before all of this happened."

"Yeah," I nodded my head, agreeing with Niall. "I feel a lot better too."

"You're..you're so thin though," Harry mumbled.

"No," I shook my head. "It's not bad. The nurses already told me that I have a normal body weight. They check on me every other day."

"It's not really that noticeable," Zayn shrugged, running his eyes over my body. "I mean, it does make your appearance a little different from the last time I saw you, but nothing major."
