Chapter 1

It was raining as I was walking home my car had broken down and I had to take the train it was the worst day of my life my boss yelled at me, I didn't get any coffee, there's barely any food in the fridge. I'm at my limit here my girlfriend Barbara cheated on me so, we broke up and she left it was heartbreaking because she was the girl who, I had fallen in love with since I had first met her. But that all changed when she cheated I would have my friend Victor Stone to fix my car tomorrow so I can have it for work it was hell taking the subway then having to walk especially with the weather today I suddenly heard a voice in the alleyway it was a female voice, she sounded scare I walked into the alleyway then I saw her she was beautiful. Her eyes bright green, long lashes, an outfit that didn't seem like she was from earth. She had long pink hair that stopped at her waist her skin was orange but it looked perfect for her, I slowly made my way towards her before speaking ". Excuse me miss are you okay?" She looked up at me I noticed that the only thing normal about her was her ears they were cute she looked like she was about to speak but shut her mouth shaking her hand I offered a hand to her she looked so scared like a child that lost their mother at the store ", It's okay I won't hurt you" I say in a gentle voice ". My name is Dick what's yours?" I look into her bright green eyes with my sky blue eyes she takes my hand before speaking softly "My name is StarFire" I felt myself break into a smile helping her up ", Nice to meet you Star Fire" I lead her to my house and go into Barbara's old room getting some clothes for her to change into leading her into the bathroom turning the shower on for her telling her where things where she seem to understand so I left her so she can wash up I put her clothes in the dryer so her clothes could get dried I made us some soup and hot tea so we could get warmed, up from the rain she came out walking towards me she suddenly hugs me then kisses me out of nowhere I quickly pull away stepping away from her "Uh StarFire why did you kiss me?" I asked a little confused by her actions ". I was thanking you for being kind to me is that not how you thank people?" StarFire asked me a little confused I sigh a bit fixing our bowls and cups putting them on the table getting our spoons for our soup ". No StarFire please promise me you won't go around kissing people every time they do something nice for you" she nods her head understanding what I was telling her then we start eating our dinner tomorrow I would ask her to tell me her story luckily for me I had the day off so I could spend sometime with her we ate in silent it was nice not to have to eat alone. After we ate I cleaned up before taking a quick hot shower I sigh as the water went down my body as it warms me up then I got dressed checking on StarFire she was already asleep but I told her before I went to take a shower to let me know if she needed anything she looked so cute when she slept, I closed the door to her room or rather the room I told her she could sleep in. Then went to mine closing the door getting into bed I looked up at my celling thinking what have I gotten myself into I guess I'll figure it out tomorrow then I fell into a deep sleep.
