"The plane will be landing in Seoul, South Korea in approximately 30 minutes. Please collect all your belongings before departing from the flight to the airport. Safe travels, and please fly with us again!"

The intercom from inside the airplane blared out this message loudly before the plane was set to land, practically acting as an alarm clock for those passengers who were still fast asleep in their seats. In the first class section sat a young 14-year old Japanese girl, peering out her window, seated next to her mother.

"Mina, you'll be starting at Seoul's Dance Academy tomorrow. I got you into the most advanced ballet class offered in South Korea that was being offered for someone your age," said her mother.

No response. Mina simply continued to stare out the window in silence.

"Oh c'mon. You're not still upset, are you?"

Still no response.

"Hmph, fine. We don't have to speak if that's what you'd prefer," huffed her mother.

Mina ignored her mother's words, taking note of them, but not really minding what she was saying. She was in deep thought while staring out at the beautiful Seoul night sky from her window.

"Of course I'm upset. You just randomly took me away from my friends to go do work in Korea without even letting me say goodbye to them..." she thought to herself.

The Myoui's owned a large corporation in Kobe, Japan that Mina didn't fully understand. She only knew that her parents were so immersed in their work and obsessed with money. While she was financially better off than most Japanese children her age, her childhood was depressing, filled with a lack of love from her parents.

One day, after getting picked up from a playdate with her friends, Momo and Sana, Mina's mother dropped the bombshell news that explained how she'd be moving to Seoul with her to expand their company into another country. Mina was angered when this happened. She left her friends without notice and haven't been able to contact them since. She was forced to start a new life with her mother as her parents believed it was best for her.

She hated them. Her dad was never around to care as he was too busy dealing with the primary branch in Japan, while her mother always assumed she herself knew what was best for her.

The plane finally landed in Seoul. Mina grabbed her backpack while her mom grabbed a suitcase and luggage before exiting the plane. Her mom was greeted by a chauffeur upon entering the airport, who lead them into a black car.

"Miss, you'll be staying at your new home tonight. It's already been payed for. It's most ideal for you since it's walking distance to Mina's academy, meaning she won't need rides to school," said the chauffeur.

"Excellent. Thank you," she said kindly.

Mina sighed after hearing this. Her mom seemed to treat that guy in a better manner than her own daughter.

The only two people who cared about her were still in Japan. She wasn't looking forward to the endeavor of making new friends.

The arrived at their new residence. It was a star of the art modern building surrounded by lush gardens. Other than the bleak exterior of the house, Mina actually quite admired the garden around the house, finding beauty in it as she was always drawn to things she found to be aesthetically pleasing.

Mina and her mother opened the door to their new home.

"See? Isn't it nice in here Mina?"

She turned to see Mina already walking down the hall to choose her room. She shut the door after finding one that was big enough for her. Mina chose the smallest room in the house. She didn't need that much room to do anything and didn't have much things to begin with. She looked at a clock that was already placed in her room that read 8:30 PM.
