Annika woke up extra early the next day to prepare breakfast and lunch for Sahil, Shivi and herself. They all had a busy day ahead of them with her office, Shivi's school and Sahil's friends coming over to some other friend's place. He was vacationing here after almost a year and Annika hated to leave him alone but what could she do, she had a new business to start soon. Although Sahil was as supportive and encouraging as always, Annika disliked the fact that she had to already live so far away from her brother and now that he was finally free, she had to go to meetings all the time. Not that he minded, Sahil was having a great time catching up with his Sid 'bro', Vikram Bhaiya, Sona Bhabhi, his little siblings and obviously, the new addition to their small family, Aashima and his old friends from their previous neighborhood.

Quickly preparing a few sandwiches, ham and cheese for Sahil, peanut butter and jam for Shivi and a vegetable and mayonnaise one for herself as their lunch, she also made some pohaand orange juice for breakfast. Sahil had woken up early and helped with breakfast as Annika readied Shivi for school.

In less than two hours, they were ready to leave for their day. She bundled them up and quickly dropped Shivi to her school and Sahil to his friend's house before leaving for her office. She reached at exact 8:30 a.m. and Eva was already waiting for her with her coffee.

"You are a life saver." Annika gasped as she held the hot beverage and took a sip. "Ah it's so good!"

"That's what I am." Eva said with a smile.

"Are the files ready?" Annika asked as they walked inside her cabin and Eva picked up the asked files from her desk.

"To the last document." She said and put it on Annika's desk.

"Were you here the whole night?" Annika frowned in surprise.

"No, I took them home and came early." Eva shrugged and sat down.

"Good. Remind me to give you a raise." Annika said with a smirk and opened the file.

"I will remind you of that right now!" Eva said with a grin and Annika chuckled.

"Go and eat something if you haven't. They'll be here in half an hour." Annika said and Eva nodded to get up. "And if you are going to that café, please get me a chocolate bagel!"

"Sure. Anything else?" She asked as she walked out.

"And a jelly doughnut!" Annika said and Eva turned.

"Weren't you on some sort of diet?" She asked and Annika looked at her.

"Do you want a raise?" She asked with a cocked eyebrow and Eva nodded.

"One chocolate bagel and one jelly doughnut coming right up!" She said and walked out quickly with a laugh.

Half an hour later Annika waited eagerly for the guests to arrive and went and stood at the gates.

"Ma'am, you can go inside, I will receive them if you want." Eva said and her Boss sighed.

"I am just so nervous!" She said and Eva frowned.

"You are never nervous...are you nervous to see him?" Eva asked with surprise.

After Shivaay had left, Annika had told her about who actually he was, not only a famous businessman but her ex-husband as well. To say Eva was surprised would be lying, she was shocked as anything. She never even knew that her Boss had any man in her life; having an ex-husband came as quite a shock. Her Boss's love story was nothing short of a television drama, filled with twists, turns and secrets. Not that she would say that to her ever!
