"Did you see this? I made it yesterday in school!" Shivi said excitedly as she showed Shivaay a drawing of bright colored flowers as they all sat huddled around Vikram's coffee table, Aryan busy in drawing.
"That's so beautiful!" Shivaay said, amazed at how neatly Shivi had colored the drawing. No color was bleeding out of the outlines, the reds were paired with yellows and pinks with purples, the leaves were green and even had shades of dark green in them. Shivaay chuckled as he remembered Om and his childhood drawings of gardens and parks. "You like coloring?"
"I love it!" Shivi nodded and so did Aryan as Shivaay chuckled.
"Then you'll have a great time with your Chachu!" He said and Shivi frowned.
"My Chachu? I don't have a Chachu but Aryan does!" She chuckled and Aryan nodded.
"Yes, my Chachu is Siddharth Jaisingh." Aryan said with seriousness and Shivaay chuckled again.
"Yes, as Sid is Aryan's chachu, you too have a chachu, no, you have two chachus!" Shivaay said and Shivi looked confused.
"But Mumma didn't tell me that I have two chachus?" She pouted and Shivaay nodded.
"Yes, you do!" Shivaay nodded as Shivi just shrugged and kept coloring.
"My chachu is the best!" Aryan laughed and Shivi giggled.
"Yes, Sid is best!" She said and Shivaay nodded, scratching his head.
His phone suddenly rang and he excused himself, not that the two kids seemed to mind him.
"Om, we were just talking about you!" He said as he heard Gauri's shout from behind Om. "Is everything okay? Why is Gauri-
"Bade Bhaiya, tell him to put the phone on speaker, even I want to hear what you have to tell!" Gauri's low voice made Shivaay laugh.
"Fine, you don't have to scream like that!" Om said as he put switched the speaker. "Yes Shivaay, I am so sorry that my wife-
"Not a word against my sister Om." Shivaay said and Gauri laughed. "Anyways, I don't have much to tell. I am babysitting the kids today, all four of them."
"You say as if you are the only one doing it." Om guffawed. "I talked to Rudra and he told me there are three people to take care of the four kids, so you don't need to lie like that."
"Wow, it's weird how I absolutely fail to lie to you even after I have crossed the seven seas and the nineteen skies!" Shivaay said dramatically as he heard Gauri.
"You can't poetry for your life Bade Bhaiya. Anyways, how is the babysitting going?" She asked and Shivaay sighed as he looked at the kids, who were busy in their white papers and colorful crayons.
"Nothing eventful. I tried telling Shivi about her new chachus but she doesn't seem so excited to know that." He said and sat down.
"Come on Bade Bhaiya, she's a little kid." Gauri said. "This information means nothing to her. It's as if telling her there's a loophole in a business deal. What will she understand of this? Nothing. Unless something or someone affects her immediate life, no new information or person will actually matter. If Rudra and Om stay with her everyday, like Vikram and Siddharth do, then she'll realize this fact. For her, family is only the people she spends her time with."
"I guess you are right. For her Chachu is just a word, something Aryan calls Siddharth and she doesn't. And she seems okay with that." Shivaay sighed.
"Shivaay, you can tell her about her chachus and chachis later. Tell her about yourself for now." Om said and Shivaay nodded. "Okay then, you go and bond with your daughter. I have to go to the gallery."
