Josh took a seat next to Fred without any invitation. He was well cleaned up. His beard shaven in grey chinos, leather shoes and a simple lime shirt. He almost resembled one of the counselors. To garnish the entire look he had on spectacles that made him look somewhat intelligent.

"How did you get in here?"

"Don't worry about that, I am a man of means, but you, what the fuck are you doing here?"

"Getting better from all the shit you sold me."

"Shit? I sold you clean stuff."

"Why are you here?"

To save you from this retched place."

"Retched? This is the one place that is going to make me rich."

"How?"

"Family stuff, you wouldn't understand."

"Come on, you think I don't know by now that you're Mzee Ajabu's son. You think your dad is stupid enough to hand his company to some junkie?"

"He doesn't know."

"I told you I'm a man of means, I know everything."

Josh grabbed the envelop Fred was holding and scanned the photos and broke into a grin which soon developed into a big unhinged laugh.

"Your sister, Wairimu is already set up in Ajabu Digital to replace your dad. She started working there about what, six months ago. There is no way your dad is handing you this. Not a chance in hell." He laughed some more.

"Wairimu, no, Wairimu is an activist."

"No, she's intelligent, she's taken your birthright from right under your nose like you're some sucker – well your dad wasn't going to give it to you in the first place so you can decide who is the bigger villain."

Fred's face contorted and he stared into space. "So what do you suggest we do?"

"We fleece your dad from everything he's got as a lesson that he messed with the wrong one."

"I don't know about that."

"I know what will make you think better." Josh got into his pocket and came out with a bag of powder.

"I can't, I shouldn't," Fred said, while all the while his eyes were glistening, his whole being yearning for a hit. Not long after he inhaled the powder he was in a green truck with Josh and three other muscular men headed for home.
