Diana woke up to the Eiffel Tower. She had come to love how Europeans showed love. Without shame or fear. She was watching the city from the balcony of La Reserve Hotel. A couple was kissing underneath a mistletoe. She stared into the distance, almost every couple was holding hands. She wanted to freeze the moment and stay there forever but if she wanted to sustain this lifestyle she had a man to please.

Her Mzee had been in moods lately. It was unlike him to be that way. Most days she treated her like a little girl but in the past few days she had become dismissive and he was no longer itching for her touch. 'Have I become unattractive to him?' she asked herself for the fifth time that morning.

Previously while they were in the back seat of their limo he had said in passing that she was getting old and then she added that she was becoming more mature. At the time Diana did not know if that was a bad thing. 'Twenty five? How old could that be when he was eighty one with wrinkles all over his body?'

Her Mzee often said countless times that young women kept him young and thats when it clicked that she needed to do something or she would be out cold on her back and all those people who criticise her would now have something tangible to talk about.

She started feeling stressed. She had known Mzee for over an year now and over that time she had done indescribable things to keep him happy. She was not ready to lose him to ageing.

She picked up the hotels phone and asked the receptionist to recommend a good plastic surgeon. She had already had her boobs and buttocks done, her face would be a walk in the park, she convinced herself. She would look ten years younger if not more because God knew she was not about to leave this lifestyle.
