The truck now shielded the land cruiser from getting out of the gate. Fred jumped out with a gun, a Glock 19 that he had been given by Josh, "Get out of the car old man," he said to his father as if he were a stranger on the road.

"Fred is that you?" Mzee Ajabu got into another daze while Josh and the three muscular men carrying shotguns got out of the truck,"

"You don't want trouble old man, give us the keys to your car and to your house," Josh said softly as if he were on a date with his girlfriend.

"Your sister is dying in the backseat at-least let us take her to hospital," he pleaded with his son.

"I don't give a shit about her. She can die for all I care," Fred said thinking it was Wairimu. "Remove her from the car and leave her on the grass," he said to no one in particular.

One of the robust men went to the backseat and picked her up and threw her on the grass like a bag of empty plastic bottles. The other reefed through Mzee Ajabus pockets and got the keys.

"After, he knocked him with the butt end of his shotgun and he fell and his forehead started bleeding. He then tied his hands and legs with duct tape and disappeared into the mansion with the other two men and Fred. Josh stayed behind to keep watch. Within minutes the men were coming out of Mzee Ajabus mansion with every piece of jewellery and money they could find.

They piled into the Land Cruiser with Fred and Josh moved the truck. Mze Ajabu watched them leave then she watched her daughter on the grass haemorrhaging and he started convulsing, slowly at first then erratically. The stroke finally hit him like a bag of bricks falling from the sky.
