                              Luke.
The plea stretched out into the dark abyss she could feel between them without so much as a whisper of a reply.
Rey tried again, reaching out in the darkness of the night.
                              Luke.
                              Once again, nothing.
Rey sighed. There were less than 48 hours until the Games began. It wasn't like she was going to get any sleep tomorrow night, so she might as well give up and try now.
She shifted onto her side underneath the comfortable sheets of the mattress. Why wouldn't Luke answer? She could sense the plea leaving her mind and traveling through the void that was the space between, but it wasn't being received at all. Was he ignoring her because of what she'd said about Ben? Or was it more than that?
Rey huffed. Now was when it mattered most. The Games were almost upon her- and she was not going to enjoy the rough transition into them. Rey couldn't help but notice that Zah and them would all have much better luck, as they were already adjusting to less food.
And the lightsaber she'd touched, the vision it'd given her. How she'd defeated Kylo Ren with it. How had Snoke not found out? Why wasn't she dead? Surely, no one else had fought with a lightsaber too?
Everything was so crazy. She couldn't believe that Thane and Jude hadn't pressed her for more information, either. And were they even still interested in recruiting her? Why hadn't they talked?
Now wasn't the time to be asking these questions. It was time for bed. Rey closed her eyes, and eventually sleep came to her.

Morning came much too quickly. Rey took advantage of the last shower she'd probably have for a while.
Or ever. A small voice nagged inside her head.
Rey tried to push it away as she rubbed the products from her hair. She'd survive. She had to. Whatever it took, she'd make it out of there alive with as many of her friends as she could.
She stepped out of the shower and into a warm towel. It was incredible how accustomed she'd gotten to the luxuries of Coruscant. And if she ever made it out of the Games, she'd go back to her ordinary life on Jakku.
Even if she had nothing left to wait for.
Rey put on her clothes, braided her hair, and walked out the door of the bathroom- directly into Thane and Jude.
“Shh.” Thane told her before she could open her mouth. “You're the only one up and we need to talk.”
He herded her back into the bathroom, and the two came in after her. Thane stepped into the shower and pressed a button- all of the water suddenly evaporated, and he invited Jude and Rey in.
Jude followed, but Rey's eyebrows shot up. “Why are you inviting me into a shower with you gu-”
Thane shook his head, stifling a laugh. “We're having a talk, not an orgy. Chill.”
Rey shook her head- and then stepped into the very large shower that comfortably fit all three of them.
“Care to explain why we're having this talk in my shower?” Rey asked.
"You're asking that after you've already gotten inside?"
“Coruscant doesn't have bugs in their showers, Rey.” Jude explained, ignoring Thane.
