Jade stared at me surprised but a smile appeared. She looked pained physically
"I'm so happy for you." All she ever wanted was a baby and now she doesn't have enough time to have one. Her times running out.
"Thank you. I've called my doctor for a check up and it's tomorrow, I want you to come with to see your god child." She looked at me
"God child?"
"Yes"
"I won't be around long enough for the baby to see me." She threw up some more.
"Knock it off. You'll be in my delivery room. You're going to make it through this." She was in so much pain but she was a fighter. She didn't want to show her pain but she couldn't help it. I went over to hold her hair out of her way. When she layed back down in bed and fell asleep, Jack and I chatted.
"She's not doing well, the doctor said she had a year but it's going to be before that."
"Why didn't I know?"
"It's fine."
"No it's not! I should have known and I should of been there!" He screamed and crumpled over
"I can't loose her, she's all I got. Nobody's loved me as much as she's loved me." He was choking on his words.
At one point and time he walked back to Jades room, sat on the floor and fell asleep holding her hand.
