Jack had shaved off all of his shoulder-length black hair. He shaved it all off so Jade wouldn't be alone. He wouldn't leave her side. Months gone by, Jade was deteriorating. Minute by minute. It was getting harder to help her, seeing that I'm 8 months pregnant. Ezra and I had talked about names and we've decided on Danielle for my father Daniel, and Jade for the middle name.

"How's Danielle Jade doing sweetheart?" asked Ezra greeting me with a kiss. Jack saw it and clutched his jaw down tightly. I rolled my eyes and kissed him harder.

"She's very active."
"She'll be here sometime next week sweetheart." Ezra pointed out and smiled.
"Maybe not," I said looking down. The floor was wet. "I think someone wants to come early." He gasped. I looked at Jade and she was excited.
"We have a baby to deliver." I cheered.

We were rushing to the emergency room. These contractions were hurting really bad. Jade was holding my hand, but it wasn't like any other time. Her hands were colder, weaker. It was her time. She's been trying and fighting just so she could see my daughter be born.

"I'm going to have to ask all of you to leave please." Said the irritated nurse.
"No, Ezra is the father, and Jade is the God mother. They're both staying in here."
"Your friend looks like she needs admitted." The nurse continued
"So put her in the bed next to me."
"We can't do that."
"Well you are today." I hissed at the nurse. She wasn't happy, but she put Jade next to me.

"We need to you push Bay." I started pushing. It was painful.
"Push" Said the doctor. I was screaming, but Jade held my hand the whole time. It was so painful.
"You're almost done, a couple more pushes." I wanted my mom and dad to be here with me. I pushed one last time and stopped, when I heard a beautiful noise. Danielle's first cry. Her cry was everything and made me forget about all of the pain I'd just been through. They placed her down on my chest. She had Ezra's eyes. She was absolutely beautiful.

"Take Jades and I's picture please." I asked Ezra. Her grip on my hand faded. I heard the click of the camera, and Jades heart monitor flatline.
"Jade!" I screamed. "Somebody do something!" They just stood there.
"Do something!" I cried
"She handed us a DNR form when they were admitting you." I stopped listening and only heard the monitor. Ezra took Danielle.
"Bring me her." I pleaded. The doctors wheeled Jades bed over to mine. I was still holding her hand. My best friend since kindergarten was gone.
"Please don't go." I cried. My beautiful angel will forever be gone.
