I stormed out of the hospital shaking my head. Ezra was waiting in the car for me.
"What happened?" He asked Cautiously
"Nothing. Just drive." He just sat there looking at me waiting for an answer. I put my head on the window.
"Please just drive Ezra." He threw his hands up.
"I'm trying Bay, I really am but you can't keep things from me. You need to be honest with me. Okay?"
"What am I keeping from you?!"
"I don't know Bay, what are you?"
"You're ridiculous Ezra you know that?"
"What's going on with you?" He asked.
"Everything. I lost my daughter!"
"I lost my daughter too, but it seems like you forget about that."

We sat in silence, neither wanting to talk.
"I'm sorry." He grabbed my hand and raised it to his mouth to kiss. A smile appeared across my face.
"Me too." He kissed me and the world spun.
"Do you still want to get married?" He asked.
"Hmmm." He looked at me with worry on his face.
"Of course I do silly. Who else would deal with all of my problems?" We laughed and drove down the road.

It was a long day and Ezra fell asleep on the couch. Bzz bzz I looked down at my phone to a blocked number
"Miss me?"
"Who is this?" I texted back. No reply. I put my phone down thinking it was meant for someone else. I laid down to go to sleep and my phone went off again.
"Don't you remember me?" I was really starting to get weirded out.
"I don't know who this is."
"Awe come on baby, I'm pretty unforgettable." A cold sweat ran down my spine, I couldn't breathe, and I started to shake.
"I love how that beautiful yellow sundress looks on you by the way." I couldn't find the nerve in me to reply. I looked over at Ezra.
"Don't even wake him up."
"Are you.. are you in my house." I asked nervously. He didn't answer.

There was no way he could see what was going on inside, unless he was inside with me. The blocked number called me, I hesitated to answer it, but I was scared what would happen if I didn't answer it.
"Hello?"
"It's so good to hear your voice." He breathed into the phone. I stayed silent. Afraid to even move.
"What do you want."
"I want you." He growled, then laughed.
"Why?"
"I didn't know I had a daughter." He said. I looked around and left the room incase Ezra woke up.
"She's not your daughter, she never was. The only thing you did was get me pregnant. You never will be a father. You're a lame excuse as a human being." He didn't like my response, I could hear it on the other end of the phone.

"You're going to do something for me."
"I will never do anything for you. You're a monster!" I hissed.
"Oh but you will. Poor Danielle won't make it to see another day if you don't do what I ask."
"You don't even know where she is." I gulped
"Say hi to mommy."
"Hi mommy!" She yelled in the phone. My breath got caught in my throat.
"You leave her alone you hear me! I will kill you!" I could hear him find this amusing.

"You're going to meet me in the alley by the hospital, alone. If I find out you told anyone about this, I will take Danielle and do the same to her that I did to her. You won't ever see her again. Got it?" He asked.
"Got it." I choked.
"Good, you have one hour. Your time starts... now." He hung up the phone and all I could hear was the dead phone ringing.
