Ellick Surprised

The day before Christmas Eve
Ellie's POV
"Are you ready to see my family again?" I asked Nick as we walked out of the airport. "Yeah," He said with a sigh. We got a rental car and I drove us to my parents' house. We knocked on the door and waited to hear footsteps approaching from inside. "Ellie! Nick! How are you?" Mom said. "Hi mom, we are doing great!" I said. We walked inside. I took off my jacket, and i was glad I had one of Nick's hoodies underneath. I showed a bit, even with the oversized garments on me. "Oh, you're showing so much!" My mom said. I smiled and nodded. "Yeah," I said. She hugged me. "Oh, hello, guys," my dad said. "Hey, dad!" I said, hugging him too. "Hey, Ellie," He said. "Hello, Nick, it's good to see you," he said. "And you too, sir," Nick replied back. He always got so much more formal around my parents. It was hilarious. The two men shook hands. "We are very happy you were able to make it out for Christmas. It won't be too much longer before Ellie can't travel," my mom said. "I know," I said. "Can I get you guys some tea or coffee or anything?" She asked. "I'll have some coffee," Nick said. "Ooh, and can I have some hot chocolate?" I asked. "Of course," she said, walking out of the room. "I'm gonna go get the bags," Nick said, leaving me and my dad alone. "How have you been, darling?" He asked me. "I've been doing really great. Nick and I are in the process of moving into our new house. He's really excited to decorate the nursery," I explained. "Do you know what you're having?" Dad asked. "Yeah, but we are gonna tell everyone tomorrow," I said. "How fun," he said. I nodded. "Is Nick good to you?" He asked. "He's great. He asked one of our friends what would help the morning sickness and made sure to do what he could to make things better. It worked really well. He was so excited when he found out the gender. He always insists on doing all of the heavy lifting for the move," I explained. "That's nice. He's a good one," dad said. "He really is," I agreed. Then Nick walked in and I helped carry our bags to the guest room.
A little while later, it was time for dinner. "It smells so good in here," Nick said when we walked into the kitchen. "I made some chicken and rice with peas and green beans," my mom said. "That sounds amazing," Nick said, smiling. We sat down at the table until the food was ready. "So, did you two find out the gender?" Mom asked while we were eating. Dad obviously hadn't told her what I told him. "We did, but we are waiting to tell everyone until tomorrow so we can show everyone all at once," I said. "That sounds fun. Did you do one of those big reveals or just found out from the doctor?" She asked. "One of our friends planned a thing at the park. I filmed it all so that's what I'm showing tomorrow," I explained. "Oh, that's gonna be great," she said.
After dinner, Nick and I sat in the living room and watched television. We were just sitting on the couch, one of his arms around me and the other on my stomach, over our baby girl. It felt nice, just us, together. I slowly felt myself drift off to sleep on the couch.
Nicks POV
After sitting in the living room for an hour, Ellie fell asleep. I debated on what to do. I was about to fall asleep myself so I decided to just stay on the couch.
Mr. Bishop's POV
I was walking around the house and turning all the lights off when I walked into the living room. I saw Ellie and Nick asleep on the couch. Ellie looked so happy. She was smiling in her sleep. And Nick looked very protective of his new family. He had one of his arms around Ellie and one on her stomach. He really loves her.
