A week later
Ellie's POV
Another week of doing nothing. But, I was one week closer to holding my little girl. I wasn't going to be induced, but I have a feeling she's going to be here soon, not a day later than her due date. I decided to call my mom. I haven't talked to her in over a week.
"Hey mom," I said when she picked up. "Hi Ellie. Are you alright?" She asked. "Yeah. Just bored. But I've only got about a week left," I replied. "That's good. And you're going to call when you go into labor?" She asked. "Yes. You will be one of the first to know," I said, smiling. "Good. So, how've you been?" She asked. I told her all about the past week. She somehow hadn't heard we were engaged yet, even though I posted it on social media and George knew.
After we hung up, I made lunch and watched some television.
Before I realized the time, Nick got home. He had brought home some takeout, including all of my favorites.
We talked as we ate our dinner.
"So, we haven't really talked about names yet," he said. "I was thinking we could get some ideas, but not choose a name until she gets here. I want it to really be perfect," I said. "That sounds like a good idea," he said as we finished eating. The we moved to the couch. "So what names were you thinking of?" He asked. "I really like the name Shea," I said. "That's pretty. I like the name Emily," he said. Then we decided to take turns saying names we liked. "Abigail," "Izabella" "Masie," "Londyn". We disagreed on several of them. But we narrowed it down to either Shea, Emily, or Abigail.
After discussing names, we were both tired and went to bed.
I woke up suddenly, feeling weird. I looked at the clock. It was 2:18 in the morning. I had always been a light sleeper, and the pregnancy just made it even easier to be woken up.
I decided to get up and go to the bathroom, as being pregnant always made me have to pee. It hit me as I groggily walked back to bed.
