Your POV:

I brought the cup to my lips, taking my time to drink the beverage, using the action as an excuse to arrange my thoughts for a few moments.

Kida-Kun doesn't seem like the sort of person to dislike someone for no reason, and knowing Izaya-Kun even for such a short period of time...

I'm sure he did something that earned such treatment.

Normal POV:

Izaya cheekily grinned at you, his voice laced with mischief, his orbs gleaming at you with amusement.

"You're not going to question if I'm telling the truth?"

You continued drinking, cursing the raven-haired man under your breath. Placing the coffee back down you gave him a sweet smile.

"Would you tell me if I asked you what really happened?"

The both of you shared an unbreaking gaze for what felt like an eternity, time seeming to stop. You couldn't help scanning over his nearly flawless features; his personality wasn't very attractive, but you couldn't deny he really was good-looking.

Noticing how you were just staring at him you blinked out of your trance, trying as naturally as you could to break the eye contact.

"Anyway, it just doesn't seem like Kida-Kun would act like that for no reason."

You cleared you throat and removed your frame from the jet-black leather sofa. Before he could say anything you gave him a small beam, before retiring to your room, shutting the door softly behind you.

Izaya's eyes still focused on the door that separated you both, a palm supporting his chin as he carried blank look on his face. Contrary to expression he wore, a slight chuckle escaped his lips.

"I don't think Kida-Kun would be too happy about you getting involved (y/n)-Chan."
