YOUR CHILD'S FIRST BIRTHDAY

Liam: "Emily's going to love this," you say happily, admiring the backyard. It's been done up all western cowgirl theme, inspired by her love for Toy Story (just like her father!). "I know! I can't wait to show her," Liam smiles. There's even a pony ride set up in one corner, as well as face painting. "Ay! The parents! Where's the birthday girl?" Harry and Louis walk over, donned in their best jeans and plaid with cowboy hats. Everyone had dressed up for the occasion. "Hi Harry, Lou!" you greet them with hugs and kisses on the cheek. "She's just inside sleeping, we're going to get her soon!" You admire all of the people gathered for your daughter's birthday. Friends, family...all wearing cowboy hats and having a good time. "Let's go get Emily," Liam says, wrapping his arm around your waist. You both head up to Emily's room happily. "Good morning birthday girl!" She smiles and crinkles her eyes, just like her dad does. He picks her up and kisses her nose. "One year old today!" She claps and you both bring her downstairs. "Happy birthday, Em!" everyone says, giving the little girl kisses. She looks like the happiest kid on the planet, and she can't get enough of the pony ride. "This party was amazing," Niall tells you both as the party is winding down. You both nod gratefully. "Emily's a lucky girl, you two are amazing parents." 

Harry: "Darce! Look!" Harry points to the real live zebra he'd gotten to come to her party. Having connections was certainly a plus to being famous. Darcy claps excitedly and stares at it in amazement. After debating on a theme, you and Harry had decided on a safari one! Harry had gotten some exotic animals (a zebra and a monkey!) to be brought, and you'd decorated your yard like a true jungle. Darcy's face was absolutely beaming. "Zeeber! Zeeber!" she chants. You both laugh and nod. "This cake looks amazing!" Harry's sister Gemma compliments. The cake DOES look amazing! It was tiers of giraffe print, zebra print and tiger print, complete with Darcy's name on top in sugary letters. "Should we give her her present now?" Harry nudges you and looks at the house where her gift is waiting. You nod and Harry returns momentarily with a calico kitten, complete with a zebra print collor. Darcy gasps and starts petting the kitten. "What are you going to name your kitten?" you ask her softly. Darcy turns and points to her favorite uncle. "Lou," she says simply. You all laugh and Louis pretends to be honored for having a cat named after him. 

Niall: "Christ Niall, I don't think I've ever seen so much food in my life!" you look at the buffet set out for Braden's First birthday. All kinds of food from cupcakes to pizza to pasta to cookies! "Well, only the best for my little man!" He ruffles Braden's hair as Braden eyes the table with awe. The party was sock monkey themed, a theme you'd been drooling over since you saw pictures online. All sorts of sock monkeys were scattered around the buffet, and the colors of the party were light blue and brown. You'd even gotten a sock monkey pinata! "The decorations look amazing, babe," Niall kisses your cheek and looks around the party venue, clearly impressed. "Only the best for my little man!" you echo with a laugh. "Cake, cake, cakeeee," Braden whines, tugging at the hem of your dress. "Okay, bud. First let's open presents, yeah?" you say softly. Braden nods excitedly and Niall carries over the giant wrapped box from you and him to Braden. Niall helps him open the box and Braden screams with joy. It's a 4-foot tall sock monkey, taller than him! "MONKEY," Braden squeals. "Now you speaka da munkey," Niall laughs. Braden wraps his tiny arms around the stuffed animal and looks up at you. "Cake now?" he asks. You and Niall both laugh and nod, calling everybody over to sing Happy Birthday. 

Louis: "Leo is going to love this," you say happily. You'd rented out an aquarium for your little guy's first birthday and did a whole underwater theme. "I know! He absolutely loves the fish and sharks..." Louis shakes his head happily in disbelief. Leo had spent the night at Liam and Danielle's so you and Lou could finish getting everything set up. "Look who's here!" Liam says happily, Danielle holding Leo in her arms. Leo screams happily and looks around at the fish and colorful decorations. "SUPRISE! HAPPY BIRTHDAY LEO!" everyone shouts, admiring the little boy's bliss. Danielle hands Leo over to you and kisses your cheek with greeting. "Thanks so much for watching him, Dan!" Danielle smiles and looks around the aquarium in amazement. "Any time! He's a doll! This place looks fantastic! You're planning my next birthday, haha," she says. The place does look fantastic! The aquarium supplied a backdrop, with the fish and sharks all in their tanks. You and Lou just hung up some colorful lanterns and a big banner with "HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY LEO" across it. "The place does look amazing," Liam agrees. Leo is absolutely enthralled by the fish, and you both can't wait to plan the birthdays to come. 

Zayn: "Sierra, do you like your party?" Zayn asks your daughter happily. Sierra nods and takes a bite of cotton candy, her face sticky and pink. You'd both agreed on a carnival theme, having all kinds of carnival classics, a magician and a bounce house. Your backyard looked like a children's paradise! Sierra was on a total sugar high from all the sweets, especially cotton candy, her favorite! "Babe, do you want your birthday gift?" you ask, her face lights up and she nods happily. You and Zayn both take one of her hands and walk her over to her gift. Her very own cotton candy machine. "What is it?" she asks, sliding her hand across the pink metal. "Cotton candy machine! You can make your own anytime you want!" Zayn explains, patting her shoulder. "YESSS!" she shouts happily. You both laugh as Zayn tries to explain how the machine works. You look down at your husband and daughter, her face filled with pure bliss. You look around at your friends and family milling about the party and can't imagine how you got to be so lucky, and can't wait for the memories to come.
