"Aunt May, Tony said I needed to come over for a bit." Peter announced as he came out of his small room into the small kitchen of their apartment.
"On Christmas Day?" May asked with a hint of a plain 'no'. Peter sighed as he rubbed the back of his neck.
"He only said he has some upgrades to go over. I'll be back before Christmas dinner. I promise." May hummed whilst she thought of her answer. Peter grew nervous that she was going to turn the whole thing down and he'd have to tell Tony Stark no.
"Alright. Be back by five. I mean it, Peter." Peter smiled and nodded vigorously before grabbing his phone off the counter and heading straight for the door. "Peter!" May called out. Peter stopped mid way to the doorknob. "You forgot your coat." Peter groaned and looked at his outfit.
"May, I have a sweater with a flannel underneath. It keeps me toasty." Peter admitted trying to just get out the door as soon as possible. He should have just went for the coat without saying anything.
"It's cold. Coat. Now." Peter sighed and nodded as he grabbed his big coat May had got him and trudged if on before opening the door. "Bye May, see you soon." May smiled and put a pot on the stove.
"See you in a little while!" She called out and Peter shut the door. He smiled widely and took off down the stairs of the apartment building. He only did it because it's what got his blood pumping before hitting the cold air.
Once the teenage boy made it outside he silently thanked May for reminding him about a coat. It was cold! He began to wonder what Mr. Stark wanted to upgrade. Peter was thinking so hard he didn't notice the car that was honking at him.
"Peter!" The boy whipped around and saw Happy pulling up beside him in the same car that dropped him off after Germany.
"Happy! Nice to see you again!" He yipped before opening the back door and hopping in.
"How was your Christmas?" Peter smiled.
"It was great! I got a lot of new clothes! A new watch too!" Peter smiled greatly as he thought about his new clothing.
"That's great, kid."
"How about you?"
"Aw, wine sure is great."
Peter made a face that made Happy smile a bit. Peter saw this and smiled wider than before, if it were possible.
"Tony has a few gifts under his tree that was to:Peter." Peter went white.
"M-Mr. Stark got me something?" Happy sighed.
"He likes you a lot kid. I don't see it often either. Like not a lot at all. Pepper and some of his Avenger buddies are about it. You of course, now." Peter blushed a bit.
"He's the best. Wait! I didn't get him anything!" Happy rolled his eyes.
"He didn't expect you to, Kid. I promise, he won't even care at all. Don't fret. Besides, I'm pretty sure you are all he needs." Peter smiled weakly before leaning back.
Peter made it to the elevator of the Stark Tower. He pushed the forty-fourth story of the Tower and waited as he went all the way up. When it stopped and made a 'ding' noise he waited for the doors to open. Once they did, he stepped out.
"Heyya, Pete!" Tony greeted. Peter smiled.
"Hi, Mr. Stark." Tony fake groaned with exhaustion.
"Why so formal? It's Christmas, kid." Peter shrugged. "Come on, Underoos! Pepper and I wanted to watch you open some gifts we got you." Peter smiled.
"I didn't get you anything though." Tony rolled his eyes.
"Underoos, you are the gift that keeps on giving. I promise. Don't fret! I'm the best gift giver anyway, you can't top me." Peter laughed with Tony. When Peter walked into the living area that was way bigger than his whole apartment he was in shock.
ALL OF THE AVENGERS WERE SITTING THERE! Peter stuttered a bit. Memories flashed as he remembered the crushing plane wing that Cap let fall on him. Beating up Bucky Barnes. Getting thrown through a window by The Falcon. Injured pretty bad by AntMan.
"Hey, Pete, it's all cool now." Tony assured as he patted the boy on the back.
"They almost killed you." Peter whispered. Tony frowned.
"Pete, it's okay." Peter nodded and smiled fondly at the rest of them.
"That's Spiderman?! He's a kid, Tony." Steve exclaimed, eyes wide. "I hit him a lot." Steve shuddered. He knew what it was like to be young and get the crap beat out of you.
"He's fine, Cap. He's got super strength, a sixth sense we call 'spidey sense', he can also stick to walls like a spider, and he has a high metabolism. A lot like you and him." Tony gestures to Bucky who smiled a bit at the young boy.
"Did . . . HYDRA take him?" Steve asked, quietly. Bucky frowned and became a bit panicked at the thought.
"No. I promise. He's alright. See, they care!" Tony smiled, assuringly.
"I was bit by a radioactive spider from Osborne's lab." Peter explained. Bruce Banner growled, lowly.
"Morons." He barked. Peter nodded in agreement.
"Mr. Stark didn't take it well either." Tony laughed.
"Clint, would you-."
"Gottem'!" He announced as he displayed all three of Peters gifts.
"Three?!"Peter whipped his head to Tony. "You can't be serious." Tony chuckled a bit.
"Oh, I am serious." Natasha smiled and sipped her hot cocoa.
"Ones from me." She said. This made Peter even more excited.
"Really?!" He exclaimed happily.
"Really."
Peter sat down and unwrapped the first one slowly. He read, From: Captain America, To: Peter. Peter held the object in his hand as he saw it. It was a compass.
"Thanks, Cap!" Peter chirped. Steve smirked.
"Figured that would help you if you lost your way."
The next was a gift from Natasha. He unwraveled string before unwrapping the gift. It was a combat knife. Peter 'awed' at it before it was taken from his grasp.
"No, no, no." Tony shook his head. "Nat, you just gave my fifteen year old kid a knife!" Nat smirked as she had victory written all over her face.
"I knew you would overreact." Peter sat there with a smile. Tony stumbled over himself to find words to come out of his mouth next.
"Aw, you do care!" Peter awed and the rest of the Avengers laughed.
"Opened your next gift, Underoos." Tony cleared his throat. This one was from the man himself. Or should he say, 'the best gift giver of all time'.
Peter opened it and it revealed a photo album full of photos of Tony and Peter. 'All The Good Times'. It read. Peter smiled warmly.
"Thanks, Mr. Stark." Tony let the kid hug him with delight.
"You are most welcome, Pete. Merry Christmas." Awes went around the room.
"Merry Christmas!"
