"Get lost, insect!" Rhino huffed. Peter Parker, the fifteen year old with a gift, not a curse, gasped as a board was thrown at him. The teenager dodged the board and managed to whip around and slam into Rhino with enough force to knock the villain down.
Rhino roared and threw his arm at Peter. Peters Spidey sense went wild, but not in time. The boy yelped as he flew through the air and collided with the side of a train car. Fighting in the cities train 'cemetery' was one of the worst places ever!
Peter grunted as he began to help himself up. He winced with one eye and held his side. Ribs were surely cracked. His Spidey sense went off once more and he managed to move just in time. Rhino charged into the train car instead of his target. This gave Peter time to swing a bit away from the horned villain.
"You know, I didn't think Rhinos had a small brain because with great power come great responsibility, but I think you just proved that," Peter snickered from the pole he was hanging on. Rhino growled at the taunt.
"Rhino squish pathetic insect," The horned villain did the famous kick leg back and charge to the pole.
"I'm an arachnid you moron!" Peter gasped as if he were very offended. He sighed as he mumbled to himself, "I so should have listened to Tony." Peter wasn't paying attention and a chunk of asphalt was thrown to him. Peter was knocked off the crane he landed on and fell to the ground. He cried out when he felt his leg get crushed by the chunk of asphalt. He was stuck. "K-Karen! CALL TONY!" He shouted in urgency as Rhino smiled wide.
"Rhino succeeded his mission in squishing spider. How's it feel?" Rhino cracked his knuckles and neck as he walked to his target.
Peter was trying to push the asphalt off but to no avail. He was too wore out. Rain had started to fall and it was now to slick to get a good grip. Peter stopped struggling to look at his new villain that's eyes glowed. The metaled armory gleamed.
:.:Kid? Karen said this was an emergency call. What's going on? You better not have left the tower! I told you not too, kiddo. May would be disappointed:.: Tony was furious. Peter knew that if May were still with them that she would indeed be disappointed at him for not following his father-figures orders.
"T-Tony! I-I need help! Ah god! I'm in a bad situation!" Rhino was closer and was reaching for him. Peter cried out when he grabbed him and tore the asphalt off and held Peter up by his arm.
:.:KID! WHATS GOING ON?! IM ON MY WAY!:.: Tony was freaking out. Peter heard stuff clatter around and Tony yelling at someone, :.:STEVE! LETS GO NOW:.: Tony was then yelling for FRIDAY to give him Peters location.
"Let go of me! Mr. Stark, it's Rhino," Peter informed as he grabbed ahold of the villains arm with his free hand and began to yank on it.
"Spider has no chance now," Rhino smiles and punches Peter in the gut and it sends him flying. Peter lands belly up on the asphalt and his heaving in air. God, there's so much pain. He feels the vibrations on the asphalt and his senses are telling him that Rhino is coming back for him. Peter noticed that his comm link wasn't functional anymore. Mr. Stark was sure to be way more worried now.
"Step away from the kid, now!" Peter recognized the voice. Only, it wasn't Tony. Peter winced and looked up. The masks eyes doing there best to help Peter see. When Peters eyes focused he couldn't help but let out a breath of relief at who it was.
"Who's this wizard man?" Rhino growled and got into a charging stance.
Doctor Strange glared and readied a portal for when the Rhino did charge at him. Rhino blew air and ran to the wizard. Doctor Strange only stood there and when it was time, opened the portal to the icy lands he had once banished one of Thanos' child to. Rhino freaked out when he went through the portal. Doctor Strange immediately closed the portal. Once done, he turned around and ran to Peter.
"Hey kid, how are you holding up?" Strange asked as he helped the younger boy up. Peter groaned in response. "Is your father on the way?" Strange asked. Peter only nodded. He didn't wanna correct him right now.
"T-Thank you, M-Mr. Strange," Peter gasped out. He began to collapse but Strange caught him.
"Kid, you're gonna have to hold on. Peter, stay awake," Strange said. Strange knew Peter wasn't gonna keep himself up and he needed medical attention. He didn't know how close Tony was. He grunted and picked the boy up bridal style. "I'm going to take you to Stark Tower. We'll call your father back once there, Alright?" Peter nodded as Strange opened a portal to Stark Tower and stepped through.
FRIDAY spoke, " Doctor Strange, Mr. Stark has just left."
"Call him to be back here, I have his son." Strange laid the kid down onto the couch and frowned when he saw the kids' mask scrunch up with his facial expression. "Here," Strange murmured to the boy and removed his mask. Peter gasped and groaned.
"T-Thank you again, Mr. Strange." Peter murmured.
"No need, Peter," Doctor Strange insisted and listened to the sound of Tony's suit come to the helipad. He watched as Tony sprinted back into the tower along with Steve.
"Peter!" Tony shouted, worry laced his voice as his mask disappeared and he hovered over the teenager. "Oh god, Bruce, Rhodey! Get in here!" Tony shouted. Steve gasped at the sight of Peter.
"What happened?" Tony was looking at Strange for answers.
"I'm not entirely sure. I only made it to Peter a while after. He'd have to tell you. All I know is that his foot is real bad," Strange resounded. His cape was doing its own thing by touching up Peters wounds.
"Oh shit, kid!" Rhodey bent down and ran a hand through his hair. "Tony, how do we get the suit off?" Rhodey asked, still running his hand through the kids hair. Peter was smiling at the motion.
"Press the spider," Tony informed. Rhodey did that and the suit looked way too big for Peter.
"You got anything under this?" Rhodey asked. He didn't want embarrass the kid at all.
"Boxers," Peter responded.
"Is that okay?"
"Yeah."
Rhodey peeled the suit off and winced at the sight of the boys leg. He's definitely going to need a cast.
"Some ribs are cracked. Hand me the gauze and medical tape," Bruce ordered. Captain didn't waste any time by handing the two things to the man.
"Tony, will you hold him up?"
"Of course."
Tony went behind the boy and held him up. He cried out and his his face in the chest behind him. Tony sat down on the couch and held Peter away as Bruce wrapped his ribs. After that Tony pulled Peter to him and the boy stayed there. He let Tony hold him as his foot was casted up to his knee. When all was said and done, Doctor Strange ran a hand through his hair.
"Thank you," Tony said to Doctor Strange. The man only nodded before making a portal and walking through. Steve nodded and grabbed Peter, bride style. Steve took the boy to his room with Tony following him. Steve left and let Tony talk to the boy.
"What happened?"
"Rhino, he caught me off guard. I'm sorry for leaving but the news lady said that he had a kid," Peter muttered as sleep craved him. Tony sighed and rubbed his face.
"He didn't did he? The only kid he had was you." Peter merely nodded at his adoptive father.
"We'll talk more. Sleep well kid," Tony leant down and kissed the teenagers head. Peter smiled.
"Bye, Dad."
