Thump. Peter grunted as he tried to lift himself up off of the dirty alleyway. Thump. What was that? Thump. Peter groaned as his limbs burned and ears were silenced by the beating rushing of his blood. Thump. What was that? Thump. Peter's head hurt and everting felt funny. Thump. That's what that noise was, he could hear his heart beating.

"Peter, it appears you've been poisoned. The arrow that has pierced your left side seems to be laced with a poison that I am not aware of. Call Tony Stark." Karen's voice gently encouraged Peter.

"N-No. I-I've got this." Peter felt everything get hotter even though it was October in New York. His skin felt too tight.

"Peter. Medical attention is needed immediately. Baby monitor protocol is being initiated. Calling Tony Stark." All Peter could manage was a grown as he sat himself back down on the dirty alleyway floor. His ribs hurt. He was beginning to see nothing but blurs.

"Peter! Karen said you needed medical attention immediately! Talk to me bud." Tony's voice was a bit panicked, as always when Karen would have to call Tony just because a certain teen was so stubborn.

"T-This weird new gang group that been on the news? I had a run in-in with them. T-There's an arrow in my side. It's laced with poison. Mr. Stark, I don't feel so good." Peter's voice wobbled and it took a lot out of him to get the explanation out.

Tony's mind wandered back to the Infinity War, "don't say that kid. I'm two minutes out now. I'm coming. Stay on the call." Tony's thrusters were working extra hard. "FRIDAY, tell Bruce to prepare med bay."

"On it, boss."

Peter gasped as a sharp pain went up through his spine. His teeth were bloody, he had bitten his cheek to keep from screaming out loud. The mask had come off as it was growing too hot for the masked vigilante.

"Pete! Hey buddy, Tony's here. I'm here."

Peter looked through his hazy mind to see his mentor. The suit's faceplate lifted up so Tony and Peter could meet each others eyes. "Mser. St'rk?"

"Can I pick you up? I have to get you to Bruce."

"S-skin hurts."

Tony thought for a moment before sighing, "I'm sorry, Pete." He picked the boy up and Peter screamed. The sound tearing a few wires in Tony's arc reactor.

"I know, I know. I'm so sorry."

They made it to the compound, Tony going through the balcony's opening windows.

"Bruce! That med bay better be ready!"

"It is! Get him in here!" Steve and Rhodes were already waiting in the med bay when Tony got in there, the suit clanking against the ground as he sat the red and blue vigilante down.

"That arrow needs to be taken out and examined. It could tell us what they're using."

Everything was going okay and Bruce was about to numb the area around Peter's side when Peter screamed, a blood curdling scream.

"What's going on with him?!" Tony screeched as he did the most he could to comfort Peter as the teen thrashed on the table.

"The poison is creating a burning sensation throughout every vain in his body!" Bruce grabbed a needle and couldn't get it positioned right on Peter's arms due to the boy flailing. "Steve! Hold him down!"

Steve held the boy down, super strength having to come into play. Bruce was able to calm Peter down and soothe some of the burning in his veins.

"Tony, I'm gonna position him right, I need you to take out the arrow." Tony nodded, no hesitation as all he wanted was for the teen to be okay.

"T'ny." Peter's half lidded eyes searched for the man. Tony put a hand on Peter's cheek after stepping out of the suit.

"I'm right here, we're gonna fix you up Underoos," Tony's promise was not empty.

"Hurts."

"I know, I'm here."

Rhodes patted Tony, "let's get this arrow out, Tones." Tony sighed as he waited for Bruce's command.

Bruce positioned Peter correctly. "Tony, pull out semi-fast, semi-slow." Tony nodded. He gripped the arrow and gently began to pull, but not so slow it that it was a slow pain.

"Mister Stark! Please!" Peter cried. Steve continued to hold the boy down.

"Got it!" Peter went slack. His body was exhausted.

"Peter. Peter, are you with me?" Bruce asked gently.

"I-it doesn't hurt anymore." Bruce's brow furrowed in confusion.

"Nothing?"

"I feel fine except for the pain in my side."

Bruce frowned. "It must have been that the arrow continued to release the poison in him as long as it stayed in him. We need to patch him up and do a few vital tests."

Tony rubbed Peter's brown curls back. "Hey Pete, how are you doing?"

Peter smiled slightly and met Tony's eyes, "better. Thank you."

"Anytime Underoos, anytime." Peter's hand reached for Tony's. Tony smiled warmly and took the hand with a gentle squeeze.
